Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, adaptable, and client-centered Couples & Family Therapist to join our inclusive team. This is a part-time, fee-for-service position with opportunities for bonuses reporting to the Clinical Director. In this role, you will provide affirming, and evidence-based mental health care for couples and families. Compensation & Benefits That Stand Out Competitive Pay ranges based on experience: $54-59/hour (Pre-Licensed) Competitive Pay ranges based on experience: $64-69/hour (Independently Licensed) Guaranteed pay model; clinicians are paid biweekly regardless of client or insurance payout Paid Sick Time Bonus opportunities available Paid administrative time Free individual, group supervision, and risk consultation support CEU reimbursement & stipend to cover exam fees Liability and malpractice insurance Paid Orientation What Verge Handles for You So you can focus on clients, we take care of: Supplies: toys, art supplies, games, books, fidgets Billing & claims Marketing, advertising and building your personal brand Insurance credentialing Referrals to build your caseload Providing an EMR and office space Scheduling Flexible scheduling options available that align with client and family needs. A willingness to maintain afternoon and evening availability required for seeing couples and families. Key Responsibilities Provide client-centered and culturally responsive therapy to couples and families across diverse relationship structures and life stages Engage all relevant family members/partners in treatment planning, goal-setting, and psychoeducation Conduct comprehensive relational and systemic assessments (e.g., family dynamics, communication patterns, attachment history) and create individualized treatment plans Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions tailored to couples and family systems (e.g., EFT, Gottman Method, structural or systemic family therapy) Facilitate difficult conversations and conflict resolution while maintaining a safe, neutral therapeutic environment Respond to crises (e.g., domestic conflict, safety concerns, disclosures) with empathy, prioritizing safety and stabilization for all parties Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation for individual and joint sessions Collaborate with individual therapists, psychiatrists, and other providers involved in a client's or family's care to ensure coordinated treatment Participate in individual supervision, case consultation, and team collaboration Stay current with couples/family therapy best practices, continuing education, and regulatory requirements Support families and couples with resources and referrals to help them meet treatment goals Provide timely, sensitive communication with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries around confidentiality in multi-client cases Qualifications Required: Master’s in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field Independent licensure (or license eligible) in Massachusetts: LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent Experience providing therapy to couples and/or families with a strong foundation in evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions Proficiency with EHR and clinical documentation Preferred: Training or certification in couples/family-focused modalities (e.g.,Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), structural or systemic family therapy Experience supporting couples and families through separation, divorce, reconciliation, or major relational transitions Experience with related presenting issues such as premarital counseling, blended family/stepfamily dynamics, or infidelity and betrayal recovery Why Verge Therapy?: A Culture That Cares At Verge, we know that supported therapists create better outcomes for clients.
