About the team
You will join the Operations team within Group Communications, Public Affairs & SRI. We support colleagues across the global communications function by coordinating financial processes, administration, reporting and events. We also use data and technology to improve how the team works and measures its results.
About you
You have excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to own and prioritize requests, paired with high attention to detail and the ability to follow up on sharp deadlines to meet targets. You are a pragmatic communicator and proactive problem solver with good people skills. You focus on results with a can-do attitude and have flexibility to take on and own new tasks as required.
About the role
You will support our function with financial, operational and administrative tasks related to e.g. purchase orders, invoice management and events as well as contribute to some side projects.
Main tasks:
- Create and track purchase orders
- Support the preparation of accruals and cost allocations
- Support the onboarding of new vendors and the maintenance of the process
- Track invoices and follow up on their status
- Populate and maintain accurate information in internal databases
- Support administrative activities across our function
- Contribute to process improvements and other ad hoc projects as opportunities arise
What we are looking for
- University student, preferably Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Finance/Accounting experience is an advantage
- Proficient in, and comfortable using, written and spoken English
- Very good comprehension of MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
- Teammate with strong communication skills
- Flexible and open for new tasks and challenges, willing to learn
The minimum base salary for this job is from 7 EUR gross per hour. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
The working percentage will be 50% which will need to align with your study commitments. The expected commencement date of the role is 1 January 2027, but an earlier start might be possible. The contract will be for 12 months.
This is a hybrid role. To support collaboration and learning within the team, we would like the successful candidate to spend at least half of their working time in our Bratislava office.
