Through organizational capacity assessments, coaching, technical assistance, learning initiatives, and partner support, you will help organizations build the systems, knowledge, skills, and practices needed to effectively compete for, manage, and implement donor-funded awards while serving vulnerable children and communities affected by crises.
Working closely with the prime award recipient, subaward partners, subject matter experts, and program teams, you will coordinate and support partner capacity-strengthening activities, monitor progress against development plans, and promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the consortium.
What will you do?

- Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks, and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.
- Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
- Coordinate partner capacity-strengthening activities that support grant objectives and improve organizations’ readiness to successfully compete for and manage U.S. Government-funded awards.
- Conduct organizational capacity assessments and support the development, implementation, and monitoring of partner-specific capacity-strengthening plans.
- Provide coaching and technical assistance to New and Underutilized Partners (NUPs) across key organizational, operational, and programmatic functions.
- Support partners in strengthening financial management systems, internal controls, policies, and procedures required for donor compliance and award management.
- Facilitate partner learning related to US government funded processes, award requirements, compliance expectations, and partnership readiness.
- Coordinate and support trainings, workshops, peer-learning opportunities, webinars, and technical assistance activities focused on organizational development, humanitarian programming, and donor-funded project implementation.
- Support partners in developing and strengthening monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and knowledge management practices that align with donor requirements.
- Assist partners in establishing and documenting policies, procedures, and systems related to procurement, governance, branding and marking, human resources, and other donor compliance requirements.
- Provide guidance, resources, and coaching that help partners improve their competitiveness for new funding opportunities, including concept paper and proposal development.
- Facilitate collaboration and connections between partners, consortium members, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and peer learning.
- Support organizational development initiatives, including strategic planning, operational effectiveness, workforce development, and organizational sustainability efforts.
- Coordinate partner support related to gender integration, safeguarding, environmental compliance, and other cross-cutting donor requirements.
- Track progress against capacity-strengthening plans and document outcomes, lessons learned, success stories, and areas for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to grant reporting, work planning, monitoring and evaluation activities, and donor deliverables related to partner capacity development and localization objectives.
- Stay informed of emerging trends, tools, and best practices related to localization, organizational capacity strengthening, humanitarian response, emergency preparedness, and international development.

It’s a mission that drives us because the need is desperate. Ten percent of the world lives on $1.90 a day or less. Our hearts break for the millions of children who suffer from lack of resources, but we rejoice because there is hope.
We at Compassion know that the transformative power of Christ’s love is not bound by nationality or economic status. Unified by this conviction, our increasingly diverse staff uses our talents and experience to serve more than two million children in 25 countries. We’re excited for you to join our ministry!
