About the Role

We are looking for a full time permanent Partnership Lead to support the effective management and delivery of Netball Australia’s partnerships, coordinating partner commitments, campaigns, activations and projects while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role also provides commercial and administrative support, including budget tracking, reporting and identifying opportunities to enhance partner value and contribute to broader commercial growth.

Key responsibilities include:

Partnership Management

• Act as the day-to-day contact for assigned partners, supporting the delivery of partnership objectives and contractual commitments.
• Support partnership planning, campaign delivery and end-of-season reporting for assigned partners.
• Coordinate the delivery and reporting of contracted partner benefits, including signage, ticketing, hospitality, player appearances and digital assets.
• Work with the Senior Partnerships Lead and internal teams to ensure partnerships align with the Made in Netball strategy, Netball Australia priorities and key initiatives.
• Develop an understanding of partnership agreements, contractual obligations and relevant compliance requirements.

Project Management

• Maintain partnership project plans, trackers and documentation to support the effective delivery of partner commitments.
• Coordinate timelines, approvals and deliverables to ensure campaigns and partnership activity are delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Maintain strong attention to detail across partnership documentation, reporting and campaign administration.
• Provide project and administrative support to the Senior Partnerships Lead and broader Commercial Team as required.

Campaign Delivery & Activations

• Collaborate with Events, Marketing, PR, Creative, Licensing, League and Finance teams to deliver partnership campaigns, activations and key Netball Australia events.
• Monitor relevant market, industry and consumer trends and identify opportunities to enhance partner campaigns and experiences.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations across social, digital, content and activation channels to address campaign challenges and create additional value for partners.

Business Projects & Growth

• Support key Netball Australia business projects and working groups that contribute to commercial delivery, partner programs and business growth.
• Support the broader Commercial Team to identify opportunities to grow revenue with existing partners and contribute to new business opportunities as required.

Stakeholder Relationships

• Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with partners, suppliers, Member Organisations, Clubs and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate clearly, professionally and in a timely manner with partners and colleagues.
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Partnerships Lead and broader Commercial Team on partnership activity, project progress, opportunities and key issues.
• Represent Netball Australia professionally and positively in all stakeholder interactions.

Commercial Acumen

• Support the management of partner budgets, including the tracking and reconciliation of player appearance, media, hospitality and ticketing funds.
• Work closely with the Finance Team to ensure invoices, purchase orders and partner budgets are processed accurately and within required timeframes.

Key Position Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sports Management or a related discipline is desirable.
• Experience in partnerships, sponsorship, account management, marketing, events or a related commercial environment.
• Strong project management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with partners and internal teams.
• High attention to detail, with experience managing deliverables, reporting, budgets and contractual commitments.
• Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-focused, with an ability to identify opportunities and add value for partners.

About You

We are looking for someone who possesses the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sports Management or a related discipline is desirable.
• Experience in partnerships, sponsorship, account management, marketing, events or a related commercial environment.
• Strong project management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with partners and internal teams.
• High attention to detail, with experience managing deliverables, reporting, budgets and contractual commitments.
• Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-focused, with an ability to identify opportunities and add value for partners.
• Demonstrated alignment with NA values essential
• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.

Other Information

The role is based at Netball’s Head Office in Fitzroy/Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country. Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of traditional office hours may be required.
