About Zero Waste SG
Zero Waste SG (ZWSG) is an Institution of Public Character (IPC) and non-profit organisation leading Singapore’s transition towards a zero-waste, circular economy through education and advocacy. We engage all stakeholders, from individuals and schools to businesses and government to embed the 5Rs: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot into everyday life.
Guided by our four Focus Areas- (1) Food Waste, (2) Single-use Disposables, (3) Recycling At Source, and (4) Circularity Education - our campaigns and programmes drive real behaviour change to reduce waste and empower communities to actively shape Singapore’s zero-waste future.
Our nationwide campaigns include the widely recognised Bring Your Own (BYO) campaign, which fosters a reuse culture and reduces reliance on single-use disposables. Our latest campaign, Sort It Out, champions waste segregation at source, helping to increase recycling rates and minimise contamination.
