We are seeking an independent and extremely detail oriented Patient Account Representative. The position is responsible for the full range of Payor follow up with different types of Payors. Location: Remote (must reside in approved states for remote work) - AZ, AR, FL, ID, IL, IA, KY, MI, MN, MO, MT, NV, NM, NC, ND, OK, PA, SD, TN, TX, VA. Pay: $18-20/hr depending on experience and state Bonus: $1500: Paid out in two installments within first twelve months. Duties & Responsibilities Manage primary and secondary claims Respond promptly to billing inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and departments Work with clinics to identify and resolve issues regarding outstanding account balances Resolve denials and submit appeals Utilize the most efficient resources to secure timely payment of open claims Research assigned correspondence and take necessary action to resolve requests Ensure daily accomplishments contribute toward company goals for A/R Resolve accounts in follow-up queues Skills & Qualifications High School/G.E.D. or equivalent combination of education and experience required 2 years prior medical receivable collections experience preferred Understanding of medical claims processing Experience with insurance systems Knowledge of insurance including State and Federal rules and regulations as they relate to billing and collections Ability to understand claim denials/rejections Ability to read an Explanation of Benefits Knowledge of medical terminology Benefits & Perks We offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation package designed to support both personal and professional well being.
