We are currently looking for a polished, empathetic Patient Sales Consultant to join our remote patient engagement function, working closely with our Brighton clinic team in Adelaide, Australia. This is a fully remote, independent contractor opportunity, ideal for someone based in South Africa with strong phone-based sales or patient-facing experience, who thrives on structured process, clear communication, and helping people take the next step with confidence.

About the role

You'll be the first warm, professional voice many prospective patients hear from QDC, reaching out to leads, understanding what they're looking for, and guiding them smoothly toward booking their consultation. This is a non-clinical role: you won't be providing dental advice, but you will be the person making sure every prospective patient feels heard, informed, and confident about taking the next step.

What you'll be doing

• Lead contact and qualification — Reaching out to QDC-allocated leads by phone, SMS, and email, running warm, structured conversations to understand what each person is looking for, and clearly explaining QDC's consultation process.
• Appointment coordination — Booking patients into available consultation slots, sending reminders, and following up ahead of appointments to help maximise attendance.
• Post-consultation follow-up — Checking in with patients after their consultation, resolving any practical or administrative questions, and helping arrange next steps (escalating any clinical questions to the clinic team).
• CRM and reporting — Keeping accurate, up-to-date records in our CRM, tracking your own pipeline, and providing regular reporting on your activity.
• Process improvement — Helping refine our call scripts, follow-up workflows, and training materials as we build out this function.

What we're looking for

• Excellent spoken and written communication, with a warm, professional, consultative phone manner.
• Prior experience in a sales, patient coordination, appointment-setting, or customer service role in dental, healthcare, aesthetics, or a similar consultative sales environment is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working structured scripts and processes while still sounding natural and empathetic.
• Confident using CRM systems and comfortable with day-to-day admin and reporting.
• Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage a consistent remote working routine.
• Based in South Africa, with a stable internet connection and a quiet space to work from.

The arrangement

• Engagement type: Independent contractor (not an employee position).
• Location: Fully remote, working South African hours aligned with QDC's Australian clinic hours.
• Anticipated workload: Approximately 40 hours per week is currently anticipated, though this is an estimate for planning purposes only and isn't a guaranteed minimum.
• Service fees: 210 ZAR per hour, plus 345 ZAR per qualified attended consultation.
