About the Opportunity:

The PATIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE role is designed to manage patient inquiries, support clinic operations, and facilitate patient satisfaction. This position contributes by ensuring efficient communication between patients and care teams, optimizing appointment scheduling, and advocating for patient needs, thereby directly impacting patient experience and clinic workflow.


Responsibilities:

  • Screen incoming patient inquiries and direct appropriately
  • Provide courteous, problem-solving communication focused on patients
  • Resolve patient satisfaction and operational issues, escalating complex cases
  • Initiate administrative requests such as forms, medication renewals, referrals, and authorizations
  • Update patient records with accurate demographic and insurance information
  • Maintain effective communication across patients, care teams, and departments
  • Review appointment schedules to optimize clinic utilization
  • Assist with data collection and reporting activities
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts
  • Support special projects and programs
  • Perform other assigned duties


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum age 18
  • At least 1 year experience in medical, healthcare, or medical insurance settings
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records or ability to learn
  • Experience with appointment scheduling and patient eligibility verification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to complete up to 3 weeks of on-site training at specified Massachusetts locations
  • Flexible availability Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, including occasional overtime and holidays


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in clinical settings
  • Experience with Epic software
  • Knowledge of patient-related documents


Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Residence within commuting distance of specified Massachusetts office locations
  • Secure handling of sensitive documents
  • Dedicated private workspace


Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
