About the Opportunity:
The PATIENT SUPPORT CENTER REPRESENTATIVE plays a critical role in supporting patients by providing accurate information, facilitating access to healthcare services, and acting as an advocate during interactions. This position contributes to enhancing patient satisfaction and operational efficiency within the support center.
Responsibilities:
- Meet performance goals related to patient satisfaction, accuracy, quality, and attendance.
- Maintain adherence to department standards and schedules.
- Demonstrate superior customer service through behavior and communication.
- Manage multiple tasks including data entry and phone communication.
- Handle exchange of complex and sensitive information while advocating for patients.
- Support team members with documentation and issue resolution.
- Recognize and respond to financial, medical, and legal risks appropriately.
- Use internal systems to manage appointments, authorizations, claims, and benefits.
- Document interactions accurately according to guidelines.
- Assist new or potential members with primary care provider selection and provide information.
- Coordinate with clinicians and nurses as needed.
- Process primary care provider changes and related paperwork.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- At least 2 years of customer service experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to navigate multiple chat channels.
- Typing speed of 40+ words per minute.
- Availability to work full-time during standard business hours with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare and call center environments.
- Familiarity with virtual work settings and multitasking with multiple screens.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Residence in Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones.
- Secure and private dedicated work area.
- Access to a wired high-speed internet connection meeting specified speed standards.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Salary ranges from $16 to $29 hourly based on experience and other factors.
- Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) and incentive programs subject to eligibility.
