About the Company
Better Payment Network (BPN), Incubated through Binance Yzilabs, is a next-generation stablecoin settlement network designed to power cross-border payments in emerging markets.
Rather than serving consumers directly, BPN connects licensed financial institutions on both sides of cross-border payments:
- PSPs in markets such as Hong Kong and Singapore serving large numbers of cross-border merchants;
- Banks, PSPs, VASPs and stablecoin institutions in emerging markets providing local collection, FX and settlement capabilities.
BPN enables businesses across cross-border e-commerce, trade, logistics and digital entertainment to collect local fiat, move value globally through stablecoins, and settle into their preferred currencies.
Today, BPN connects 50+ financial institutions across 20+ markets and serves thousands of cross-border SMEs. https://www.bpn.finance/
The Role
We are looking for a Payment Operations Associate to support the day-to-day running of our payment operations, from preparing new partners for onboarding through to transaction processing and ongoing account support. You will work across compliance, business development, finance, and tech to keep payments running accurately, on time, and within control frameworks.
This role suits someone with a solid grounding in banking or FI middle office / operations who wants to build their career in payments and digital assets.
Key Responsibilities
1) Onboarding and Due Diligence
- Prepare onboarding packs for new clients and counterparties: collect documentation, check it is complete, and coordinate with Compliance on KYB/KYC and due diligence reviews.
- Track onboarding pipelines and follow up with internal teams and clients so partners go live on schedule.
2) Payment Operations and Transaction Processing
- Handle daily payment processing end-to-end, including initiation, monitoring, exception handling, and settlement follow-up.
- Investigate and resolve payment breaks, failed or delayed transactions, and discrepancies with banks, PSPs, and counterparties.
- Support daily reconciliations and work with Finance to make sure transaction records are accurate.
3) Operational Control and Process Improvement
- Keep operational procedures, checklists, and records current, and make sure they are followed.
- Spot recurring issues and manual bottlenecks, and suggest improvements or automation with Product and Tech.
- Support internal and external audit, compliance, and regulatory requests as needed.
4) Client and Account Support
- Act as an operational point of contact for clients on RFI/RFP handling, payment queries, account set-up changes, and service issues.
- Support account maintenance, such as updating client details, limits, and configurations.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in banking or financial institution middle office or operations.
- Hands-on exposure to end-to-end operational processes, including due diligence and onboarding preparation.
- Experience managing payment operations and transaction processing.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with high volumes and time-sensitive work.
- Clear written and verbal communication, and able to work with both internal teams and external clients.
- Experience with data analytics tools and a strong analytical mindset would be a plus.
What We Offer
- The chance to build payment operations at a growing payments network within a leading Web3 ecosystem.
- Exposure to multiple markets, partners, and payment flows.
- A fast-paced, collaborative environment with room to grow your scope.
