What You’ll Do:

The Payment Posting Specialist accurately posts insurance and patient payments, reconciles deposits, resolves payment discrepancies, and ensures accurate account records within healthcare billing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Post insurance, patient, EFT, check, and ERA payments accurately in healthcare billing systems.
• Review EOBs and ERAs to verify payment, adjustments, and patient responsibility.
• Reconcile deposits and resolve unapplied, duplicate, misapplied, or missing payments.
• Process adjustments, denials, refunds, and recoupments according to payer guidelines.
• Research payment discrepancies and coordinate with Billing, AR, and Accounting teams for resolution.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing policies.

Qualifications:

• Experience posting insurance, patient, EFT, and manual check payments.
• Proficient in reviewing EOBs, ERAs, adjustment and denial codes.
• Strong understanding of healthcare billing, payer requirements, and RCM workflows.
• Skilled in payment reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and balancing deposits to zero.
• Strong attention to detail, data-entry, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent English communication skills and a stable internet connection with a dedicated WFH setup.
