Ready to build your career in Payroll?

Are you organised, confident with numbers and someone who takes pride in getting the details right? Whether you're looking to build on your administration experience or take your first step into Payroll, this could be the opportunity for you.

At Lyreco, we're about empowering people to create great, and we're looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our Finance team.

Working within a small, supportive team, you'll play an important role in ensuring our colleagues are paid accurately and on time. From maintaining employee records to processing invoices and supporting monthly payroll, you'll gain valuable experience across a range of payroll activities.

You'll also have the opportunity to develop your skills and build a career in Payroll, with the potential to complete a Level 3 Payroll Apprenticeship.

What you'll be doing as a Payroll Administrator:

  • Supporting the preparation and processing of our monthly payroll, ensuring information is accurate and deadlines are met.
  • Maintaining employee payroll records, including new starters, leavers, absence and contractual changes.
  • Processing payroll-related invoices, completing reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers, providing accurate information and a professional service.
  • Using Excel and internal systems to maintain records, check information and support payroll reporting.
  • Working closely with the Payroll team to ensure confidential employee information is handled securely and accurately.

What we're looking for as a Payroll administrator:

You don't need to have worked in Payroll before. We're looking for someone with a strong administrative background, a good eye for detail and the willingness to learn.

You'll bring:

  • Previous experience in an office or administrative role.
  • Good numerical skills and confidence working with figures.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot errors or discrepancies.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, proactive approach to your work.
  • The ability to work independently while being a supportive member of a small team.

Why join Lyreco?

This is more than an administration role. It's an opportunity to develop specialist payroll knowledge, gain hands-on experience and build your career within an established business.

You'll be part of a supportive team where your contribution matters, with opportunities to learn, develop and work towards a Level 3 Payroll Apprenticeship.

At Lyreco, our values of Agility, Respect, Passion and Excellence shape how we work together and support our colleagues.

Ready to take the next step?

If you're great with numbers, enjoy keeping things organised and want to develop your career in Payroll, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and start creating great with Lyreco.
