The Role
This is a part-time, hands-on administrative role for an organised and discreet person who will keep payroll and people administration running smoothly across our European operations.
Reporting to the Group CFO and based in our Cork office, with hybrid working, you will work with our external payroll providers, keep employee records accurate and up to date, and support hiring managers with onboarding and offboarding.
Flexible Hours
The hours are part-time, with some flexiblity in timing. The workload is naturally heavier around month end and lighter during the rest of the month.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll administration
- Co-ordinate monthly payroll with our external payroll providers and act as their day-to-day point of contact
- Collate and check payroll input, and review output before it goes for approval
- Provide joiner, change and leaver details so people are paid correctly from their first month
- Issue payslips and support payroll queries from employees
- Support the loading of monthly payments process for payroll and consultants, preparing information for approval
- Keep a clear record of what has been processed, what is pending and what needs follow-up
- Maintain our HR system as the single source of truth for employee records
- Check recorded holiday, absence and leave, and check balances against payroll
- Handle employee personal data carefully and in line with GDPR/DPA
- Work with hiring managers and IT, so that contracts, systems access and payroll are aligned for joiners, movers and leavers
- Prepare contracts and offer letters from approved templates for sign-off
- Keep right-to-work records up to date
- Handle leaver administration
- Administer employee benefits
- Keep policy documents up to date as changes are approved
- Keep compliance deadlines and records on track with our advisers

Required Qualifications
- Experience in payroll and/or HR administration, ideally across more than one country
- Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
- A highly organised person with excellent attention to detail, and absolute discretion with confidential information
- Trustworthy and comfortable handling sensitive personal and financial information
- Confident with HR systems
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Organised and self-motivated, able to manage your own time within flexible hours
- Based in, or able to commute to, Cork, Ireland.
- You must already have the right to work in Ireland; we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role
- A payroll qualification, such as those offered by the Irish Payroll Association (IPASS)
- Experience of taking meeting minutes
- An additional European language
- Experience in renewables, infrastructure or another multi-country business
- Payroll delivered accurately and on time every month
- Employee records complete, current and trusted
- Queries handled promptly, with nothing left sitting
- Joiners, movers and leavers handled smoothly with hiring managers
- Good working relationships with our payroll providers and advisers
- Part-time hours that are flexible in timing, to fit around school runs and other commitments
