As a Payroll Clerk , you will support the payroll department by preparing, auditing, and processing payroll data to ensure accurate and timely payroll submission for our associates throughout the US and Canada. This role is also responsible for managing garnishments, maintaining records in UKG, resolving payroll-related issues, and supporting special payroll projects. Work Schedule & Coverage Requirements Expected to provide coverage during a regular work schedule between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. EST, with specific start and end times determined based on business needs and mutual agreement. Must also be able to provide occasional coverage through 8:00 p.m. EST when operational demands require extended support. Key Responsibilities Analyze and prepare payroll data for transmission using automated and manual systems. Produce accurate and timely audit reports and payroll submissions. Maintain and update associate records in UKG (new hires, terminations, transfers, job changes, and compensation adjustments). Track and record vacation, sick, and personal time accurately. Ensure compliance with payroll policies and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Enter and manage garnishment orders as needed. Contact managers for missed punches, missed approvals, or time and attendance discrepancies. Assist with company transfers in the payroll system and communicate progress to all relevant parties. Research and resolve hotel/system payroll issues in coordination with the payroll provider. Provide training and support to hotels on payroll procedures and systems. Respond to associate inquiries and troubleshoot payroll-related concerns. Reconcile payroll data and reports each pay period for accuracy. Execute various reports and maintain data integrity using appropriate reporting tools. Stay updated on payroll practices by participating in educational opportunities and reading industry publications. Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company policies and procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management. Qualifications Prior payroll or HRIS system experience (UKG experience preferred). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll-related systems. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative and customer-service-oriented mindset.
