Payroll Specialist

Role Description This is a full-time, remote Payroll Specialist role responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations for Neurophos team members. The Payroll Specialist will process regular and special payroll runs, maintain payroll records, and handle payroll adjustments and corrections. Daily tasks include managing employee data changes, administering garnishments, calculating and reconciling payroll taxes, and coordinating with payroll service providers as needed. The role also involves responding to employee payroll inquiries, supporting audits and compliance reporting, and partnering with Finance and HR on compensation-related matters. The Payroll Specialist will help improve payroll processes and systems to support a growing, distributed workforce.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration.
• Candidates should possess skills in managing Payroll Taxes and working with Payroll Services.
• Candidates should possess experience administering Garnishments and related payroll deductions.
• Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Gusto, or similar) and HRIS tools.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and payroll compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support a remote and fast-growing organization.
• Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in a technology, semiconductor, or high-growth environment is beneficial.
