We are looking for an experienced EMEA Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations across several European countries. The role involves end-to-end payroll coordination, payroll accounting, compliance, reporting, and close collaboration with HR, Finance, external payroll providers, and other business stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine strong payroll knowledge with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in an international environment.


Responsibilities:

1) Manage and coordinate payroll processes for several countries across EMEA, either through in-house payroll processing or in cooperation with local payroll vendors.

2) Review and control payroll calculations and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

3) Process and verify payroll-related payments to employees, tax authorities, and social security institutions.

4) Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable local legislation, tax regulations, and internal policies.

5) Process payroll-related journal entries into the General Ledger.

6) Prepare monthly wage tax returns and other payroll-related statutory reporting.

7) Perform payroll data entry, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks with a high level of accuracy.

8) Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, particularly HR and Finance.

9) Provide payroll-related support to employees and business partners.

10) Analyse the financial impact of legislative changes affecting social security contributions, employee benefits, and wage taxation.

11) Transform raw payroll data into clear and meaningful reports for different stakeholders.

12) Manage multiple payroll deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced international environment.


Qualifications:


1) Bachelor’s degree.

2) At least 3 years of payroll experience, ideally involving multi-country payroll support.

3) Experience in payroll, HR operations, benefits administration, financial services, application support, or another relevant environment.

4) Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse data accurately and create meaningful reports.

5) Experience transforming raw data into reports for different audiences.

6) Hands-on experience with data entry, validation, reconciliation, and quality control.

7) Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a problem-solving mindset.

8) Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage deadlines effectively.

9) Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.

10) Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

11) Professional written and verbal communication skills in English.

12) Strong sense of confidentiality and sound professional judgement.

13) Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.


Nice to have:

- Experience with ADP GlobalView (ADP GV) and/or SAP Payroll.

- Previous experience supporting payroll across multiple EMEA countries.

- Experience working in a multinational compensation or remuneration environment.

- Payroll qualifications or certifications recognised in the relevant country.

- Experience partnering closely with HR and Finance teams.

- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.

- Ability to meet challenging deadlines while balancing several priorities.

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

- High level of ownership, urgency, and self-motivation.
