We are expanding our global team and looking for a Payroll Specialist to bring their wider knowledge and help us get our product and service more widely known and used.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for multiple Philippine-based employees under Native Teams' EOR/employment umbrella across various client accounts
  • Compute salaries, overtime, holiday pay, night differential, and other statutory pay items in compliance with Philippine labor law, tailored to each client's employment terms
  • Manage statutory contributions and remittances (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR withholding tax) for all employees under the EOR entity
  • Prepare and file mandatory government reports (e.g., BIR Form 1601-C, alphalist, annualization) on behalf of employees hired through the EOR
  • Manage invoicing related to payroll and client billing, ensuring accuracy and timely issuance
  • Liaise with clients (external companies using the EOR service) regarding payroll inputs, changes, and approvals each cycle
  • Handle employee inquiries related to payslips, deductions, and pay discrepancies across different client accounts
  • Coordinate with HR/Onboarding teams on new hires, terminations, and contract changes affecting payroll
  • Ensure compliance with local labor law even when client instructions vary, flagging any conflicts with Philippine statutory requirements
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized payroll records segmented by client for audit and reporting purposes
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and support internal/external audits as needed
  • Stay updated on changes in Philippine labor law, tax regulations, and government-mandated benefits, and communicate impacts to clients when relevant
  • Willing to support payroll and invoicing processes for other countries as needed, beyond the Philippines


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in Philippine payroll processing; experience with EOR, PEO, or multi-client payroll environments is a strong advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, tax codes, and statutory requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR)
  • Experience in invoice management/billing is an advantage
  • Proficiency with payroll systems/software (e.g., Sprout, PayrollHero, SAP, or similar); experience with global payroll platforms is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts/payroll runs simultaneously with high accuracy
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, comfortable explaining local compliance requirements to non-local stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines
  • Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills
  • Open and willing to handle payroll/invoicing responsibilities across multiple countries, not limited to the Philippines
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • CPA or payroll certification is a plus, but not required
