Description

KonnectCX is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while also supporting HR operations such as candidate onboarding and employee data management. The Payroll Specialist will work closely with leadership, HR, and employees to deliver seamless payroll services, maintain compliance with labor laws, and provide a positive employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and HR support (preferably in a BPO, remote-first, or service-oriented environment).

  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, labor laws, and compliance standards.

  • Hands-on experience with payroll software (e.g., Deel, ADP, or similar).

  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including advanced use of macros and queries, and ability to build dashboards and reports in Power BI.

  • Experience with digital tools such as e-signature platforms (Signwell or equivalent).

  • Solid understanding of HR processes including candidate onboarding and employee records management.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (bilingual is a plus).

  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process and administer payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

  • Verify employee hours, salaries, benefits, and deductions before processing.

  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records and employee data in HRIS and payroll platforms (Deel or similar).

  • Manage employee onboarding processes, including digital documentation, contracts, and e-signature workflows.

  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, and payment issues.

  • Reconcile payroll reports, prepare summaries, and generate payroll-related metrics for management.

  • Build payroll and HR dashboards, data visualizations, and custom reports in Power BI for leadership review.

  • Collaborate with HR on new hire setups, offboarding, and employee data changes impacting payroll.

  • Assist in compliance audits, internal reviews, and maintaining proper payroll documentation.

  • Continuously optimize payroll and HR processes through automation, reporting, and system improvements.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a remote-first or BPO environment.

  • Familiarity with global or regional payroll practices.

  • Exposure to HRIS/ATS systems and digital workflow tools.

  • Payroll or HR certification (CPP, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of employee engagement and retention strategies.
