Position Overview

As a Payroll Specialist, you will own the end-to-end payroll operations for a diverse portfolio of

  • Platform Management: Support, navigate, and troubleshoot across primary client payroll and accounting platforms (ADP, Gusto, Justworks, QuickBooks).
  • Reconciliation & Reporting: Partner with internal accounting teams to prepare payroll journal entries, reconcile payroll register data to general ledgers, and provide custom reporting as needed.
  • Client Advisory & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for client payroll questions, employee adjustments, benefits deductions, and year-end procedures (W-2s, 1099s).

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of dedicated, hands-on payroll processing experience (client-facing or multi-entity experience preferred).
  • Proven, hands-on experience using ADP, Gusto, Justworks, and QuickBooks (both Online and Desktop).
  • Meticulous attention to detail with numerical data and zero tolerance for avoidable processing errors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts.
  • Must reside in the United States

Nice-to-Haves

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation.
  • Prior experience in an accounting firm, outsourced accounting/payroll service provider, or agency environment.

What We Offer

  • Flexible working environment (Remote).
  • Generous paid time off policies and company holidays.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression within a high-growth company.
