Role: Senior Technical Architect (Technology Lead) supporting Amplify’s evolution from a manual pilot to a scaled platform by building automations that enable efficient operations today and partnering with PG&E IT and external vendors to implement an automated, customer-facing platform for tomorrow. Position Summary: In the near term, rapidly prototype and implement automations using low-code/no-code tools to support a concierge-style EV pilot (EV selection, home assessment, charger installation). Build workflows, integrations, and AI-enhanced tools that enable personalized support at pilot scale. As the product proves value and prepares to scale, act as a technical advisor and bridge with PG&E IT and external vendors, translating product requirements and operational learnings into specifications for an automated platform serving customers across PG&E’s territory. Work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment while building toward enterprise scale. Reports to the Amplify General Manager. Responsibilities: - Rapidly build and iterate automations using low-code/no-code platforms to support pilot operations - Implement AI-enhanced tools, including an EV selection agent and online home assessment - Create workflows and integrations connecting application forms, scheduling, data tracking, and communications - Identify and automate manual processes; quickly prototype solutions - Collaborate with PG&E IT and external development vendors to translate requirements into technical specifications for the scaled platform - Serve as technical advisor during platform build-out, bridging startup and enterprise approaches - Partner with Product Manager to understand customer needs and rapidly test solutions Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field - 3+ years of software development or technical implementation experience - Experience building AI systems (agents or similar AI-powered tools) - Experience with rapid prototyping and modern tools (low-code/no-code, APIs, automation) - Understanding of web technologies and system connectivity - Comfort with uncertainty, ambiguity, and rapid iteration - Pragmatic, scrappy problem-solver; strong collaborator with startup teams, enterprise IT, and external vendors Desired Qualifications: - Deep experience with LLMs, agentic AI, or advanced AI/ML systems - Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot) - Experience bridging pilot programs and enterprise systems - Product management exposure (customer interviews, writing user stories) - Familiarity with enterprise IT environments, processes, and requirements - Experience managing or collaborating with external development vendors - Startup or innovation lab experience - Understanding of EV adoption, home electrification, or energy programs - Passion for climate tech, clean energy, and customer experience Work Arrangement: Hybrid (remote plus onsite at Oakland General Office as needed; out-of-state candidates must travel to Oakland on short notice at own expense).
