Title: AWS Full Stack / Backend Developer / Cloud Platform Engineer (Mid-Senior)

Pay Rate: $105/hr W2

Location: REMOTE ROLE, CANDIDATE MUST WORK 8-5PM PST

Role is scheduled to last until 3/2027

This is a remote, mid-to-senior AWS development role focused on building cloud-native, serverless applications and backend services. The candidate must work 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. PST, and their location must be listed on the resume. The W2 pay rate is $105/hour.

The developer will design, build, deploy, and support production-ready AWS solutions using Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, REST APIs, and Python. The work includes developing backend services for React applications hosted on Amazon S3, integrating with Oracle databases and external APIs, creating batch-processing solutions, and supporting migrations from on-premises systems to AWS.

The ideal candidate should have:

• At least seven years of cloud technology experience
  
• Strong hands-on AWS serverless development experience
  
• Python, REST API, Oracle integration, and backend development expertise
  
• Experience with AWS security, CloudWatch, RDS, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge
  
• CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure-as-code experience
  
• Ability to independently manage the full software development lifecycle
  
• Agile/Scrum experience
  

Preferred qualifications include AWS Associate or Professional certification, React and Informatica familiarity, test-driven development experience, utility industry exposure, and knowledge of market or credit risk financial functions.

Best-fit candidates will be hands-on AWS backend or cloud platform engineers—not infrastructure-only cloud engineers—who can independently deliver complex application and integration solutions.

Job Responsibilities: Seeking a Mid to Senior AWS Developer with strong hands-on experience in Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, REST APIs, Python, Oracle integration, and serverless application development. The role will support development of cloud-native applications, backend services for React-based web applications hosted on S3, API integrations, and batch-processing solutions. Experience with AWS security, CI/CD pipelines, CloudWatch, RDS, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, and infrastructure-as-code is highly desirable. Familiarity with Informatica, Oracle databases, React and migration of on-premises applications to AWS is a strong plus. Candidate should be capable of independently delivering production-ready solutions and supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle.
