People Business Partner PD - Service and Supply Chain

Job Description

People Business Partner, PD Services & Supply Chain

Precision Diagnosis | Amsterdam (NL) or Best (NL)

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Act as the strategic People Business Partner for Precision Diagnosis (PD) Services and PD Integrated Supply Chain. You will partner closely with the Head of PD Services and the Head of PD Supply Chain (both SO3 leaders) to shape and execute people strategies that enable performance, transformation, leadership strength and a culture of continuous improvement across both organizations.

The end to end Services organization in Philips has over 15’000 people – your role will be instrumental in supporting the transformation to improve our service performance across that end-to-end ecosystem. Your direct scope spans the Services management across Diagnosis & Treatment—including Circular Equipment.

The ISC organization for PD has approximately 4’000 people spanning across manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics and services and including manufacturing sites in Europe, Israel, North America, India and China. In this role you will support the ISC leader, sit on their management team and operate across business units, regions and functions, connecting people priorities to business outcomes and enabling end-to-end orchestration.

In the near term, you will play a pivotal role in organization and operating-model design, transformation and change. Over time, you will help build the capabilities, talent pipelines and leadership bench required for future-ready Services and Supply Chain organizations, including the people capabilities needed to use remote, data and AI-enabled ways of working effectively.

You are responsible for

  • Partnering with the Head of PD Services (SO3) and the Head of PD Supply Chain (SO3) to develop and implement people strategies aligned with business priorities, PD strategy and Philips’ purpose.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders and leadership teams—strengthening enterprise leadership, effective decision-making, team effectiveness and accountability.
  • Leading the people aspects of organization and operating-model design, supply chain transformation and other strategic change initiatives; ensuring changes are translated into clear structures, roles, ways of working and effective adoption.
  • Driving the PD People priorities for Services, while integrating the distinct people needs of PD Supply Chain and Circular Economy into a coherent agenda.
  • Building future-ready workforce capabilities and talent pipelines across Services and Supply Chain, with particular focus on remote, data and AI-enabled capabilities and their practical adoption.
  • Leading workforce planning, succession planning, talent-to-value interventions and critical-role discussions to ensure the right talent, experiences and mobility for sustainable performance.
  • Working with People Leader Partners and colleagues across the People Function to translate strategy into practical, high-quality people support across both organizations.
  • Using data, business insight and a lean mindset to focus and prioritize interventions where they create the greatest organizational and business impact.
  • Guiding leaders in performance, engagement and employee-relations practices that foster an inclusive, high-accountability culture, while proactively managing people and compliance risk.
  • Contributing to a unified, high-impact People Function across Precision Diagnosis and Philips, including mentoring and developing earlier-career People professionals.

You are a part of

The Precision Diagnosis People Function Team. You will report to the Head of People, Precision Diagnosis, and work in close partnership with the PD Services and PD Supply Chain leadership teams, People Leader Partners and colleagues across the People Function to deliver integrated, high-impact people solutions.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 11 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 9 years with a Master’s degree in strategic people partnering, organizational transformation, organization design or change management.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders in complex, multinational and matrixed healthcare environments, spanning operational, supply chain, commercial and service organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organization and operating-model design, complex change and transformation, with the ability to move from strategic framing to practical execution while balancing quality, compliance, service, cost and speed.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic mindset and analytical capability; able to translate business priorities into focused people interventions and use data to influence decisions.
  • Experience in capability building, workforce planning, talent management and succession planning, with a practical focus on business outcomes.
  • A strong track record of coaching and constructively challenging senior leaders and leadership teams.
  • Ability to build alignment and drive outcomes across borders, functions and organizational boundaries; experience with digital, data or AI-enabled transformation is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, with sound judgment in managing governance, compliance and people risk.
  • Experience in healthcare, medtech, technology or another complex regulated industry is preferred.
