People Capability Partner

Salary: £52,000 circa (dependent on skills and experience

Benefits: Private healthcare, virtual GP service for you and your household, double-matched pension (up to 21% combined)

Location: Based in Huntingdon with hybrid working and occasional travel across the Anglian Water region
Contract Type: Secondment ( Fixed Term Contract) – 1 Year
Hours: Full-time (flexibility for part-time considered)

You'll use data, insights and digital tools to help leaders make informed workforce decisions, ensuring we're ready to meet today's challenges and tomorrow's opportunities.

The Role

We're looking for a strategic and collaborative People Capability Partner to support the ongoing development of our People, Skills and Organisational Capability Framework.

Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business, you'll help design, improve and embed capability solutions that align with our enterprise strategy and AMP8 ambitions. From skills frameworks and workforce analytics to digital enablement and governance, you'll play a central role in helping the organisation better understand and develop its workforce capability.

You'll combine data-driven insight with practical delivery to ensure capability decisions support meaningful business outcomes, while also leading and contributing to projects that strengthen workforce capability, improve people processes and support strategic change across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and enhance our People, Skills and Organisational Capability Framework.
  • Use workforce data and analytics to identify capability gaps and inform decision-making.
  • Maintain and govern the organisation's skills taxonomy and capability models.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen capability planning and workforce readiness.
  • Leverage digital tools, including Workday, to improve capability management and insights.
  • Lead and support capability related projects that drive organisational improvement and strategic change
  • Support the delivery of strategic workforce and organisational capability initiatives.

What We're Looking For


We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical and passionate about developing organisational capability.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in organisational development, workforce planning, capability, talent or people-related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with confidence using workforce data and insights.
  • Experience working with HR systems and digital platforms, such as Workday.
  • The ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • A strategic mindset coupled with a practical, delivery-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A passion for helping people and organisations perform at their best.
