We have a new opportunity for a proactive, passionate and organised People Coordinator to join our People and Talent team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands on experience across the full employee lifecycle, contribute to meaningful people projects and work alongside our Chief People Officer, Head of People & Talent and People Advisors to make Havas the best place our people have ever worked. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into the People profession and build strong operational foundations, learn from a small and supportive team, grow, gain exposure to a broad range of People activities and make a genuine impact The Role Full Employee Lifecycle Prepare employment contracts, promotion letters, parental leave correspondence and other employee documentation. Maintain employee lifecycle trackers and accurate records via Workday. Support employee changes and internal transfers across the Havas Group, both locally and globally. Onboarding and Offboarding Coordinate onboarding for permanent, fixed-term, contractors, interns and freelance workers, including paperwork, employee records, system updates, welcome packs and inductions. Partner with Payroll, IT and other internal teams to support a smooth and welcoming employee experience. Coordinate all offboarding activities, including exit interviews, checklists and leave and timesheet reconciliation. Employee Support and People Operations Provide timely first-line support for all general people related matters and queries. Take ownership and escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, files, trackers and People systems. Assist with People reporting, audits, compliance activities, mandatory training, probation reviews and performance review tracking. Support the People Advisors with day-to-day administration, coordination and follow-up activities. Actively contribute and support meaningful People projects connected to our Global People Pillars commitments – Belonging, Wellbeing, Learning, Career and Impact. What You’ll Bring Passionate about people with a genuine interest in building a career in the People profession. A proactive, motivated and solutions-focused mindset. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Confidence working with data, systems, trackers and employee records. Comfort using Microsoft Office, including Excel, or a willingness to build these skills. An interest in using or experimenting with AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or similar Clear written and verbal communication skills. An approachable and collaborative working style A willingness to keep learning, adaptability and openness to feedback.
