Role purpose:
CHG-MERIDIAN is expanding across Asia-Pacific, and we’re looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join us at a pivotal moment. Covering Australia, New Zealand and Southeast & East Asia (SEEA), you will become a trusted advisor to local leadership and a key voice in building our presence from the ground up, working alongside a high-performing regional team that has already delivered strong growth.
The role combines hands-on operational HR support, reliable administrative execution, employee relations guidance, and local implementation of global P&C standards. It ensures compliant, consistent and service-oriented people processes while supporting leadership, engagement, workforce planning and continuous improvement at local level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the local P&C contact for managers in the region of ANZ + SEEA and employees, providing practical guidance on employment lifecycle topics, local policies, processes and day-to-day people matters.
- Support local workforce planning, recruitment coordination, onboarding, payroll, probation period follow-up, employee changes, exits and other employee lifecycle activities in close collaboration with relevant P&C functions.
- Execute and coordinate administrative P&C tasks such as preparing employee documents, maintaining personnel data, supporting contract changes, absence-related processes, HR system entries, reporting and audit-ready documentation.
- Advise and coach local managers on leadership, employee relations, performance, engagement, conflict resolution and implementation of local people measures.
- Ensure compliant and consistent application of local labor law, company policies, employee relations standards and global P&C frameworks, escalating complex matters when required.
- Prepare local HR reports, monitor relevant people data, support annual P&C cycles such as performance, salary review, talent processes and engagement actions, and contribute to process improvements.
- Foster a culture of health, safety, and wellbeing by partnering with local leaders on leadership advocacy, wellbeing awareness campaigns, and manager enablement programs.
- Champion collaboration across global strategies, translating global P&C initiatives into locally relevant, effective implementation plans.
- Advise stakeholders using local talent market intelligence, providing insight on competitive compensation benchmarks, talent availability, and workforce planning strategy.
- Drive DEI in all people practices, ensuring this approach across all organizational levels.
Skills required:
- 10+ as HR/People & Culture Business Partner or Generalist
- Extensive experience managing core HR operations, including Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Employee Relations, Talent Development, HR Analytics and Reporting, and HR Information Systems (preferably SAP-Success Factors).
- Regional HR business partnering, strong service orientation and ability to translate business needs into practical people solutions.
- Knowledge of local labor law, policy application, compliance requirements and confidentiality standards.
- Manager advisory skills, communication, conflict handling, coaching ability and pragmatic problem solving in local business situations.
- Ability to support local workforce planning, onboarding, performance cycles, engagement measures and change initiatives.
- Data literacy, digital tool confidence, continuous improvement mindset and ability to use reports and HR data responsibly for local decision support.
- Teamwork and international collaboration
- Active learner and resilience
We offer:
- Real impact, high visibility: Your work will directly influence how we attract, develop and retain talent as we scale, and your contribution will be seen and valued at regional and Group level.
- Flexibility that fits your life: We trust our people to manage their time and place of work, with a hybrid model built around outcomes rather than office hours.
- An exceptional location: Work from a vibrant, well-connected hub in one of the most dynamic business regions in the world.
- Top-tier tools: You’ll have premium, modern devices and the technology you need to do your best work, wherever you are.
- A global network: You’ll collaborate with P&C colleagues across Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific, with direct exposure to the Group P&C Leadership Team.
