People Partner | Financial Services
Sydney or Melbourne | Hybrid, 2-3 days in office | $160,000 to $170,000 package | Contract until August 2027
A large values based, for members financial services co. are looking for a seasoned People Partner to fulfill a contract until August 2027. The role sits within the People Partnering team and owns all case management across divisions, with a particular focus on the member-facing areas of the business.
This is a high volume, high complexity case management role. You will be comfortable with the full spectrum: absence, performance, misconduct, psychosocial matters, policy interpretation, show cause, and union consultation. You'll bring strong ER and IR foundations, remain calm under pressure, and the interpersonal credibility to work with challenging stakeholders across a large, operational workforce.

You'll bring strong ER and IR foundations, remain calm under pressure, and the interpersonal credibility to work with challenging stakeholders across a large, operational workforce.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the full gamut of people partnering case management across divisions including absence, performance, misconduct, and psychosocial matters
- Delivering strategic ER advice and dispute resolution, handling and escalating cases with discretion and professionalism
- Working closely with the Workplace Relations, Incident and Injury Management team on complex investigations
- Supporting cyclical activities including performance and talent reviews, remuneration review processes, and workforce planning
- Coaching and mentoring leaders on people matters, facilitating leadership development and team performance
- Contributing to enterprise and business initiatives as directed by the Senior People Partner
Background Required
- Demonstrable experience providing expert advice on ER and IR matters, with current knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
- Proven ability to manage complex and ambiguous case loads across a large, sizable organisation
- Comfortable with EA interpretation, union consultation, and show cause processes
- Experience in FMCG, large operational, or high volume workforce environments will be viewed favourably
- Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills, with exceptional interpersonal and negotiation capability
