Supply chain (SCM) resources with experience in Inventory (paramount) & Purchasing must have the functional knowledge first and development is second. They must be able to speak with the business side of the house and translate requirements into specifications. They must also be able to work with needed configuration changes required to our existing system as requested by the business. Requirements Job Description: Supply Chain Resource with Inventory and Purchasing Experience We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Resource with a strong background in Inventory and Purchasing. In this role, functional knowledge of supply chain management (SCM) is paramount, with a focus on inventory management and procurement. The ideal candidate should have the ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and translate their requirements into detailed specifications. Responsibilities: - Utilize in-depth functional knowledge of supply chain management, specifically in the areas of inventory management and purchasing. - Collaborate with business teams to understand their requirements and translate them into clear and concise specifications. - Analyze existing supply chain systems and processes to identify areas for improvement. - Propose and implement necessary configuration changes to optimize the performance of our existing system. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT and operations, to ensure seamless integration of supply chain processes. - Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory management and purchasing, and provide recommendations for improvement. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in supply chain management practices. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - Proven experience in supply chain management, with a focus on inventory management and purchasing. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. - Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
