Role Overview
We are seeking a Performance Ad Strategist / Media Buyer to develop, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across major digital platforms.
This position combines strategic planning with hands-on campaign management. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying target audiences, developing acquisition strategies, testing advertising concepts, and optimizing campaigns to achieve strong conversion performance.
The role will focus mainly on lead generation, program registrations, audience growth, and measurable digital acquisition results.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute performance advertising strategies across Meta Ads, Google Ads, and other relevant paid media channels.
• Plan campaign structures around program awareness, lead generation, registrations, and audience acquisition.
• Research and segment audiences including insurance professionals, prospective students, and career development audiences.
• Manage campaign budgets and continuously optimize spending toward the highest-performing audiences and campaigns.
• Test ad creations, messaging, offers, landing pages, targeting strategies, and campaign structures.
• Monitor KPIs including CPA, CPL, CTR, CPM, conversion rate, and ROAS.
• Analyze campaign data and identify opportunities for improved acquisition efficiency.
• Develop retargeting and funnel strategies to move prospects from awareness to registration.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop performance-oriented campaigns.
• Prepare regular performance reports and provide strategic recommendations based on campaign data.
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience in performance marketing and paid media buying.
• Strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads and Google Ads.
• Experience managing lead generation or conversion-focused campaigns.
• Strong understanding of audience targeting, retargeting, funnel strategy, and conversion optimization.
• Familiarity with Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to interpret performance data and turn insights into actionable optimization strategies.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Project Details
Position Type: Remote Contract
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)
Monthly Compensation: $4,000 – $7,500 USD
Performance Bonus: Based on campaign growth, acquisition efficiency, and measurable results
Ideal Candidate
• Experience managing medium-to-high paid media budgets.
• Strong background in performance advertising and customer acquisition.
• Experience with education, professional development, membership, or lead-generation campaigns is an advantage.
• Able to combine strategic planning with hands-on campaign execution.
• Comfortable working in a KPI-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of the Canadian digital market is preferred.
Preferred Location
Preference will be given to candidates based in Canada or working within North American time zones.
Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with marketing teams during Canadian business hours.
