Performance Analyst

Remote position available for candidates based in La Plata, Bahía Blanca, CABA, Córdoba, Rosario, or Mendoza.

Avature is a large, highly configurable platform serving hundreds of client instances across multitenant environments, running on both on-premise and cloud infrastructure. As a Performance Analyst, you will investigate how that system behaves under real load: why a response time degraded, whether the infrastructure can absorb a planned campaign, where capacity is being wasted, and what a degradation in production is actually telling us. You will be one of the first people engineering turns to when something looks slow, and you will work with development, infrastructure and support teams to get to the root cause and a possible solution.

Your Challenges And Objectives

• Build a working model of our platform: its modules, services, and how they interact under load.
• Investigate performance issues end to end, from a symptom on a dashboard to a root cause in infrastructure, configuration, or code.
• Turn observations into evidence: use statistics to separate a real degradation from noise, and correlation from causation.
• Take on progressively more complex and more ambiguous problems as you grow in the role.
• Improve how we see the system: cross data sources, script your own analyses, automate what you repeat, and maintain the dashboards and tooling the team relies on.
  
  

Your Day-to-day Activities

• Investigate performance issues end to end, from a symptom on a dashboard to a root cause in infrastructure, configuration, or code, and hand your findings to the team that owns the fix.
• Analyze response times, throughput, and resource usage across logs, metrics, traces, and profiles, using statistics to separate a real degradation from noise and correlation from causation.
• Act as an entry point for engineering when a performance question appears, triaging it and connecting the right teams.
• Validate planned changes before they reach production: run performance tests with artificial load in dedicated environments, and confirm whether infrastructure and configuration can absorb limit extensions, bulk imports, go-lives, and campaigns.
• Work on capacity and cost efficiency: sizing rules, resource utilization, and where we are over- or under-provisioned.
• Plan preventive measures: take part in post-crisis procedures, learn from what went wrong, and think ahead about preventing issues rather than only diagnosing them.
  
  

About You

• You have a background in STEM, or equivalent practical experience.
• You are comfortable with statistics: distributions, percentiles, variance, correlation, and the difference between a real signal and noise.
• You have strong analytical skills, you are autonomous and curious, and you enjoy open-ended investigation more than well-defined tasks.
• You can reason about software systems without being a developer: how components interact, where time goes in a request, and what logs, metrics and dashboards tell you about what is actually happening.
• You can read code well enough to follow a call path and understand what it does.
• Intermediate oral and written English (B1), mainly for internal communication.
• Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work and genuinely interested in staying up to date with emerging AI capabilities.
