Technology is reinventing higher education and at OCAS we play a vital role in helping shape this evolving landscape. We deliver dependable technology systems and business services to support our industry partners and create new pathways for learners exploring and applying to Ontario’s public colleges.
Recently named a Waterloo Area Top Employer for the eleventh consecutive year, we’re looking for innovators who can bring their expertise and passion to our growing team.
As a Performance & Initiatives Coordinator at OCAS, you’ll help turn organizational strategy into coordinated action. You’ll support strategic planning, performance measurement, reporting, and implementation practices that give teams and leaders a clear view of priorities, progress, risks, and results.
You’ll work across the organization to strengthen the frameworks, tools, and processes used to plan, prioritize, and assess strategic initiatives. By organizing information, identifying trends and dependencies, and preparing clear reports and briefing materials, you’ll help leaders make informed decisions and keep organizational goals moving forward.
As a member of the OCAS team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues at all levels who value thoughtful planning, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will:
- Support the delivery of OCAS’s organizational strategy by tracking goals, milestones, risks, decisions, dependencies, and progress measures
- Advance the continuous improvement of OCAS’s operating model and the planning, implementation, and assessment practices that support it
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, reporting frameworks, scorecards, dashboards, and assessment criteria that strengthen organizational performance monitoring and decision-making
- Provide visibility into strategic initiatives, performance measures, and organizational capacity to support leadership planning and prioritization
- Work with leaders and teams to organize and validate information, identify trends and risks, resolve cross-functional challenges, and support coordinated execution
- Prepare clear summaries, reports, presentations, and briefing materials for the Senior Leadership Team
- Develop the frameworks, tools, and processes that help teams plan, prioritize, measure, and assess progress
You should have:
- A post-secondary degree or advanced diploma in business administration, project management, public administration, organizational strategy, performance measurement, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, performance management, project or portfolio management, organizational effectiveness, or a related role
- A strong understanding of strategic planning, performance measurement, reporting frameworks, scorecards, portfolio visibility, and capacity planning
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, project planning tools, spreadsheets, dashboards, reporting tools, templates, and documentation practices
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, organize, validate, and interpret information from multiple sources and translate findings into clear summaries and recommendations
- The ability to lead through influence, establish practical frameworks, guide cross-functional teams, and support disciplined execution without relying on direct authority
- Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, adaptability, collaboration, active listening, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities
Nice-to-haves:
- Three years of experience working in a post-secondary environment
Why OCAS?
- Enjoy a flexible hybrid work model, with three days each week in our Guelph office and two days working remotely
- Join a collaborative team that is passionate about technology and empowered to explore new ideas and better ways of working
- Start with 22 vacation days, plus a paid company shutdown during the holiday season
- Plan for the future with a defined benefit corporate pension plan
- Access comprehensive benefits, including vision, dental, extended health care, life insurance, and more
- Give back through paid volunteer time and opportunities to support local charities in your community
The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 -$96,000.00, depending on skills and previous experience.
