Who we are

Project Seven is a small Auckland marketing and services agency. We run paid media, tracking, websites and reporting for a mix of New Zealand businesses. Escape rooms, law firms, accountants, a B2B internet provider, local service businesses. Our sister brand Project 24/7 builds AI-native workflow systems, so you will be sitting next to people who automate anything that stands still long enough. We are queer-run, founded by two people whose brains work differently, which shapes how we design things. Clear instructions, written down, no guessing what someone meant. If you have ever been told you ask too many questions, you will fit in fine.

Right now the client ad accounts are run by a founder. We want them run by you.

What we are about

We exist to hand time back to small businesses. Most of our clients are owner-operators who are good at the thing they do and sick of the tangle of systems and processes around it that don’t suit how they think. Our job is to make their business work their way, prove any marketing support with clean numbers, and get out of the way.

How we work

Small team, flat structure, founder-led. You will talk to the people who make the decisions, usually the same day. We move fast and document as we go so nothing lives in one person's head. We use AI tools for most things and we are open about that with clients.

The vibe

We are funny, direct and a bit irreverent. Clients get the professional version. The team gets the real one.

What you would do

  • Build, run and optimise Google Ads and Meta campaigns for the clients assigned to you. Search, Performance Max, Meta prospecting and retargeting, and whatever else the brief calls for.
  • Own tracking. GA4, Google Tag Manager, platform pixels and conversion APIs. Find what is broken and fix it before anyone spends money against bad data.
  • Build and improve landing pages, run structured tests and lift conversion rates. Client sites sit on a range of platforms.
  • Keep client dashboards and monthly reporting current, and write the plain English version of what the numbers mean.
  • Work with the founder on budgets, bid strategy and scaling decisions. Every account gets a clean cost per lead or cost per booking before spend goes up.
  • Document what you set up so the next person (or the founder at 9pm) can follow it.

Who this suits

  • Two or more years hands on in Google Ads and Meta accounts, with your own hands on the controls.
  • Comfortable in GA4 and Tag Manager. You have fixed a broken conversion action before and can explain to a client why their numbers changed.
  • Enough landing page and CRO experience to ship a change, test it and read the result.
  • A clear writer. Clients read your reports without a translator.
  • Direct, organised, and happy to say "I do not know yet, I will find out".
  • Based in New Zealand. Auckland is a plus for onboarding and the occasional in-person day but not essential.

How the engagement works

  • Part time. Hours flex with client load. There is no minimum and no retainer, so you can keep your other clients.
  • Work from wherever you like. Onboarding happens in person at our Auckland office or online, then the occasional project day with at least two working days notice.
  • We supply the laptop if you are local. Our clients hold us to data protection agreements, so client data lives on company equipment and in company systems only, with MFA and a shared password manager. It is a compliance requirement and we are upfront about it. If you are remote, we will have to work out a secure arrangement.
  • We use AI tools heavily and have an acceptable use policy for them.
  • Ad spend is always the client’s and paid direct to the platforms. You never carry media budget on your invoice.
  • Live campaign issues (disapproved ads, runaway spend, tracking outages) get actioned within four business hours. Everything else within a business day.
