Performance Marketing Lead

Remote Contract | Individual Consultants and Specialist Agencies

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are an established Dubai-based ecommerce business looking for an experienced performance marketing partner.

Our operation includes multiple websites, large product catalogues, different customer groups and several markets. The successful applicant must be able to manage this complexity while maintaining clear strategy, reliable execution and strong quality control.

We are open to applications from experienced individual consultants and small specialist agencies. This is a hands-on role. We are not looking for an account manager who passes the work to an inexperienced team.

THE ROLE

You will take responsibility for performance marketing across India and the GCC, with the UAE as the priority market.

You will inherit active advertising accounts and functioning campaigns. You must be able to assess the existing setup, retain what is working and rebuild campaigns or account structures where this will improve performance.

  • Develop a clear performance marketing strategy for each website and market.
  • Present the strategy in plain English and explain how it supports our commercial objectives.
  • Manage paid campaigns across all relevant platforms, including Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat and LinkedIn.
  • Recommend platforms based on commercial opportunity rather than using every channel without a clear reason.
  • Manage campaign structures, audiences, bidding, approved budgets, product catalogues and remarketing.
  • Manage Google Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.
  • Manage Meta prospecting, retargeting and catalogue campaigns.
  • Plan and execute structured campaign tests.
  • Identify wasted spend and opportunities for growth.
  • Make routine campaign optimisations independently.
  • Obtain approval before making changes that affect the approved budget.
  • Provide clear requirements and performance feedback to our internal creative team.
  • Work directly with our Ecommerce Manager.

CREATIVE RESPONSIBILITY

Our internal team will supply finished creative assets. You will be responsible for specifying the required formats, variations and testing requirements.

TECHNICAL OWNERSHIP

You will have full responsibility for the technical performance marketing setup, including:

  • GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
  • Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API.
  • Google Merchant Center.
  • Product feeds and advertising catalogues.
  • Conversion tracking, attribution and remarketing audiences.
  • Platform integrations and the diagnosis of tracking or feed problems.

You must identify technical issues independently and coordinate their resolution. We are not looking for someone who waits for our internal team to discover problems.

MEASUREMENT AND REPORTING

Performance will be assessed using relevant commercial measures, including:

  • Revenue, ROAS and MER.
  • Customer acquisition cost and new-customer acquisition.
  • Contribution margin and conversion rate.
  • Qualified lead generation.

You will provide a written report every week. Reports must explain:

  • Performance against targets and the current budget position.
  • Changes made during the week.
  • What worked, what did not, and why.
  • Problems, risks and tests in progress.
  • Actions planned for the following week.

Reports must provide useful analysis. Exported platform data without explanation will not be accepted. You must also discuss results, strategy and recommendations clearly during video meetings.

QUALITY CONTROL

Strong quality control is non-negotiable

You must maintain a documented process that includes:

  • Reviewing every campaign before publication and checking it again after it goes live.
  • Viewing live ads as an end user in the relevant market.
  • Checking ads across placements, devices and formats.
  • Confirming that copy, creative, products, prices, offers and links are correct.
  • Checking catalogue and carousel ads for blank frames, incorrect products and formatting errors.
  • Testing landing pages, forms, promotional codes and conversion tracking.
  • Confirming the correct audience, location, budget and schedule.
  • Recording completed checks and escalating errors quickly.

Checking only the advertising-platform dashboard is not sufficient.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • At least five years of hands-on performance marketing experience.
  • Strong current experience with Meta Ads and Google Ads.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-website ecommerce accounts.
  • Experience managing large product catalogues and product feeds.
  • Experience managing more than one market or advertising account simultaneously.
  • Strong technical knowledge of analytics, tracking and attribution.
  • The ability to connect advertising performance to revenue and profitability.
  • A clear approach to strategy, testing and budget allocation.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong attention to detail and a reliable quality-control process.
  • The ability to work independently and raise problems without waiting to be asked.

Experience managing performance marketing in the UAE, GCC or India is strongly preferred.

WORKING HOURS AND SERVICE STANDARDS

  • You must provide reliable availability from 08:30 to 18:00, Monday to Saturday, Dubai time.
  • You must be available for video meetings during these hours.
  • Normal messages must receive a response within one hour during working hours.
  • Urgent issues must be acknowledged immediately and actively managed until resolved.
  • Planned leave or reduced availability must be communicated in advance.
  • Agencies must provide suitable cover when the main account lead is unavailable.

You may manage other clients, provided this does not affect your availability, response times, quality of work or management of our accounts.

AGENCY APPLICATIONS

Agencies must provide:

  • The name and experience of the person who will manage our accounts.
  • The number of accounts that person currently manages.
  • The approximate number of hours allocated to our business each week.
  • Details of any work that will be completed by junior team members.
  • The process for supervision and quality control.
  • The backup arrangement during leave or illness.

The named account lead must attend the interview and regular performance meetings. The work may not be transferred to another person without our prior approval.

LOCATION AND CONTRACT TERMS

This is a remote engagement. We welcome applications from India, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt and Kenya, as well as other locations that can provide reliable coverage during UAE business hours.

  • The engagement will begin with a probationary period and the final agreement will include a notice period.
  • Confidentiality will be required.
  • The successful consultant or agency may not work with a direct competitor during the engagement.
  • Applicants must submit their proposed monthly fee.
  • Agencies must confirm whether the fee includes all team and technical support costs.

HOW TO APPLY

Submit a cover letter and CV. Agency applicants should also include a short agency profile.

Your application must include two or three relevant case studies. Each case study must explain:

  • The type of business and market.
  • Your personal role and the advertising platforms managed.
  • The approximate advertising-spend range.
  • The original problem or objective.
  • The strategy and changes introduced.
  • The measurable results and the period over which they were achieved.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

Applicants must also include:

  • Location and time zone.
  • Proposed monthly fee and current availability.
  • Number of other accounts currently managed.
  • Approximate weekly hours allocated to our business.
  • A short explanation of the quality-control process.
  • Two professional references.

General claims such as “increased sales” or “improved ROAS” are not sufficient. Evidence may be anonymised, but it must be credible and verifiable.

SELECTION PROCESS

1. Review of the cover letter, CV and case studies.

2. Video interview conducted in English.

3. Practical assessment.

Please apply only if you have personally managed complex ecommerce performance marketing accounts and can provide clear evidence of your results.
