About Flint
Flint is the first self-improving system for performance marketing. We connect to brands' ad accounts and optimize them by instantly creating pages for each ad group and running a learning loop that continually improves conversions. We just signed a Fortune 10 customer, and within 48 hours their customer acquisition cost decreased by 50%. We're backed by Accel, SBVP, the venture fund of former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg, and Neo.
Sandberg instantly understood Flint's vision. "I was sharing how it took five teams three months to build one A/B test just to increase conversion by 10% on our Google ad," Flint CEO Michelle Lim said. "And then she stopped me, [and] said, 'Michelle, it was 140 people at Meta who had to do this'." — TechCrunch
We envision a future where every business will have an autonomous digital marketer that responds to real-world signals, like competitive shifts, user behavior, and trending search queries, the way an autonomous vehicle responds to road conditions and traffic.
About the team
Flint is led by co-founders Michelle Lim, who went from Engineer #1 to Head of Growth and Product at Warp, and Max Levenson, an engineering leader at autonomous vehicle startup Nuro and then Engineer #2 at Vooma (YC S23). Most of our team has founded a company or been a founding engineer, so you’ll be working with people who’ve built from zero before.
About the role
As a Performance Marketing Strategist, you’re the paid acquisition expert behind every account Flint runs. We work with brands that spend millions across Google and Meta, and you’re the one who makes that spend pay off. You run the accounts hands-on, from structure and targeting to bidding, budgets, and creative testing, and for once the landing page is yours too. You’ll see how paid acquisition plays out across many different brands, and you’ll know what’s working within days instead of months.
Everything you know about performance marketing goes into Flint’s ads agent, so you get to build the frontier AI for your craft. Over time, the way you run accounts becomes the way Flint runs them for every brand we work with.
What you'll do
Run Google Ads and Meta accounts hands-on for a portfolio of brands, from structure, keywords, and audiences to bidding, budgets, and creative testing
Decide how each brand’s budget should split across Google and Meta based on where its next profitable customer comes from
Diagnose wasted spend and missed conversions, and scale what’s profitable
Repair or rebuild accounts that need a stronger foundation in both execution and measurement
Make calls based on each customer’s growth goals, not vanity metrics
Be the expert behind our strategic accounts, and step in personally when they need you
Challenge the ads agent when it gets something wrong, and work with our engineers to make it better
Turn your playbook into how Flint’s agent runs paid acquisition, starting with search-query mining and account structuring
Work alongside our account team, who handle most day-to-day customer communication
Who you are
Strong hands-on experience running both Google Ads and Meta in DTC or B2B (both is a plus)
A track record of owning meaningful budgets across channels and the results that come with them
Good judgment about when an account needs optimizing and when it needs a rebuild
A habit of investigating problems instead of working around them
Experience testing and measuring what works, from search ads to Meta creative
Clear, frequent written communication and close attention to detail
Comfort with AI tools and interest in building the AI for your craft
Nice to have
Shopping, Performance Max, and AI Max
Meta Advantage+ campaigns
Incrementality testing, offline conversion tracking, and Meta’s Conversions API
Experience with other paid channels, such as TikTok or LinkedIn
AI workflows or tools you’ve built yourself
Benefits
Ownership in an early-stage company through competitive equity
Competitive compensation
Medical benefits and 20 days of paid time off each year
Lunch, snacks, and Cometeer coffee in the office
A dog-friendly office in the Financial District
A highly creative team that spends time together inside and outside the office
The opportunity to build a critical function from the beginning, while shaping a new category
