Position Description
People Operations is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of People Services related to the employee lifecycle - attraction, recruitment, on-boarding, administration of total reward and benefits, delivery of learning and development interventions, and payroll & time administration.
It is also responsible for maintaining the central database for all employee data (e.g. role profiles, payroll, personal data, etc.), for management information and for monitoring HR quality, performance and compliance. People Operations will drive process improvement for the end-to-end HR processes, to deliver a user-friendly experience.
As a Performance Operations Specialist, this role focuses on delivering high-quality outputs within performance operations. It involves the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures relating to performance-based compensation. Acting as a subject matter expert, the role supports the accurate execution of performance-related processes while driving the standardisation and optimisation of workflows to enhance efficiency and precision. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining robust documentation and ensuring the integrity of all associated data.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of performance operations processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high service quality.
- Execute performance-based payments, including bonuses, incentives, and ESB agreement-related payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the implementation of year-end performance outcomes, adhering to strict timelines and controls.
- Ensure all performance operations activities comply with company policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide subject matter expertise and stakeholder support on performance payments, resolving queries and investigating issues.
- Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency, standardisation, and accuracy.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on performance operations data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar HR operations, performance operations, or compensation-related role involving data accuracy, process governance, and stakeholder support.
- Experience in the use of SAP S4, excel proficiency, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and appropriate attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HR Practice, Policies and Procedures and Employment Legislation.
- A flexible approach to working.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on a range of duties as assigned.
Desirable
- A relevant qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
Location
This position will be based in ESB’s Head Office at Fitzwilliam 27, Dublin 2.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week. All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary
€41,500 - €48,800 per annum (depending on experience)
