Role description: In this role, you will support the implementation of Performance & Rewards policies and processes across South & East Europe, including the Annual Compensation Review, bonus programmes, the Global Job Framework and benefits plans, ensuring alignment with local legal requirements and business needs. This role will also support the delivery and transition of the EU Pay Transparency Directive initiative across SEE, working alongside the project team to help embed pay transparency requirements into reward processes and governance. The successful candidate will be an experienced reward professional who can operate at pace, manage competing priorities and provide confident, practical reward guidance in a complex multi-country environment, working closely with People Services and the wider People team to ensure consistent, equitable and timely support for leaders and employees across the region. Role accountabilities: · Support the Annual Compensation Review process across SEE, ensuring a fair, equitable and transparent salary process in line with local legal requirements and approved budgets. · Play a key role in the delivery of the EU Pay Transparency Directive across the South and East Europe region, supporting pay equity analysis, job architecture, pay range alignment, regulatory reporting, Works Council engagement, and the integration of pay transparency into reward processes and governance. · Operate at pace across a broad and demanding reward agenda, taking ownership of priority deliverables, anticipating risks and building strong relationships with leadership, HR Business Partners, People Services, Talent Acquisition and the wider People team across the SEE region. · Update compensation policies and procedures in line with guidance from the Global Reward & Benefits Delivery Director. · Analyse local compensation and benefits plans, regulations and operational processes, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities to improve, standardise and digitise delivery in partnership with People Services and Global Shared Services. · Maintain and analyse pay ranges across SEE, undertaking benchmarking where required. · Maintain and update local bonus participant lists for starters, leavers and role changes, including the issue of appropriate letters. · Participate in regional / local P&R projects. · Acting as a point of contact for P&R advice and governance, resolving issues in a timely manner. · Partner effectively with HR Business Partners, People Services, Talent Acquisition and the wider People team to provide joined-up reward support across SEE. · Stay informed about local reward market developments and practices across SEE and adopt relevant best practice. · Support vendor management for local benefit providers, ensuring an effective benefits offering and efficient service delivery. · Support P&R related communications across SEE as required. · Work with the Global Reward & Benefits Delivery Director, People Services and local People teams to implement and update policies and processes that support a fair, equitable and competitive compensation and benefits position. · Support the effective use of digital compensation and benefits tools. Qualifications & Experience: · Our ideal candidate has in depth experience as a compensation and benefits specialist in an international business environment, with direct experience in at least one, and preferably more, of the following SEE countries: Spain/Portugal, Poland, Romania, Italy and Serbia. · Experience supporting pay transparency initiatives, including knowledge of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and its impact on reward processes, pay structures, and regulatory requirements. · Demonstrable experience operating independently in a fast-paced reward environment, with the confidence and credibility to manage multiple priorities, work through ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and build trusted relationships with leadership, HR Business Partners and the wider People team. · Comfortable working in an organisation undergoing change, with the ability to contribute to efficient operational execution and the continuous improvement of local Performance & Rewards policies and processes. · Furthermore, the candidate brings: o Reward and industry benchmarking experience in one or more SEE countries, with a process and operations oriented approach and strong attention to detail and quality. o Strong Excel and analytical skills. o Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively. o Ability to interpret and analyse large, complex and sometimes challenging reward data. o For this role Arcadis values professional experience across the following priority areas: · Breadth of experience: Working internationally, across different industries and business lines and/or functions directly in Reward and/or wider People Services team. · Driving innovation: being confident to bring new ideas to the Global Reward & Benefits Delivery Director and other stakeholders based on regional reward experience. · Data and technology: technology-confident, curious and comfortable using digital tools to support effective reward delivery.
