Job Title: Performance Video Editor (Meta Ads & Ecommerce) L ocation: Remote  Reports To: Marketing Team  Work Shift: Flexible with overlap during Australian business hours as needed  Working Hours: Full-Time Preferred Job Description We are seeking a highly creative Performance Video Editor to help us produce high-converting video advertisements that drive customer acquisition across Meta and other paid social channels. As we continue to grow our ecommerce brand globally, we're looking for someone who can become our primary video editing resource, transforming raw footage, UGC, creator content, and existing brand assets into compelling direct-response advertisements. You'll work closely with our marketing team to bring campaign ideas to life while continuously producing creative assets that improve advertising performance. This role is responsible for editing paid social advertisements, developing multiple creative variations for testing, repurposing existing content into fresh marketing assets, and applying performance marketing principles to every piece of creative produced. While creative direction will initially come from our team, we're looking for someone who understands what makes advertising creative successful and can contribute ideas that improve execution over time. This is not a traditional video editing role focused solely on creating visually appealing content. Success requires someone who understands direct-response marketing, consumer attention, retention, and performance creative. We're looking for someone who enjoys creating ads that generate measurable business results, not just beautiful edits. Key Responsibilities Performance Video Editing Edit high-performing video advertisements for Meta and other paid social platforms Transform raw footage, UGC, creator content, and existing brand assets into compelling advertisements Create multiple creative variations to test different hooks, messaging, pacing, and calls-to-action Optimize videos for mobile-first viewing and platform-specific best practices Repurpose existing content into fresh advertising creatives Creative Production Collaborate with our marketing team to execute creative briefs Apply strong storytelling, pacing, and editing techniques that maximize viewer retention Organize and manage creative assets across multiple campaigns Maintain consistent brand quality while producing performance-driven advertising creatives Deliver creative assets accurately and on schedule Performance Optimization Incorporate campaign feedback into future creative iterations Continuously improve editing quality based on advertising performance Stay current with ecommerce advertising trends and platform best practices Identify opportunities to improve editing workflows and production efficiency Qualifications Required 3+ years of professional video editing experience for ecommerce or direct-response marketing Experience creating performance-driven video advertisements for Meta or other paid social platforms Strong understanding of direct-response marketing, customer attention, retention, and creative performance Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar editing software Experience editing short-form advertising creatives Experience editing fashion, apparel, lifestyle, or DTC ecommerce brands Experience editing UGC and creator-style advertisements Understanding of Meta advertising creative testing and optimization Strong portfolio demonstrating ecommerce or performance marketing work Ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment Preferred Experience collaborating with paid media buyers or creative strategists Familiarity with motion graphics and light animation Experience using AI-powered editing tools and workflows
