[Permanent position] Benchmark Cloud & HPC engineer ❓ About SiPearl… SiPearl is the European fabless designer of sovereign secure high-performance energy-efficient CPUs for HPC, AI and data centres. These CPUs will help address strategic challenges in the fields of security, defence, medical research, energy, climate and engineering with a reduced environmental footprint. In June 25, SiPearl completed the design of the most complex CPU ever designed in Europe, Rhea1. Featuring 80 Arm Neoverse V1 cores, with 61 billion transistors, it is currently in production at TSMC. Sipearl CPUs will equip the two first European exascale supercomputers belonging to EuroHPC JU: Rhea1 will be integrated into the JUPITER machine based in Germany and Rhea2 will be part of Alice Recoque in France. Incubated within the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium and seed-funded by the European Union, SiPearl employs almost 200 people in : France (Maisons-Laffitte, Grenoble, Massy, Sophia Antipolis), Spain (Barcelona) and Italy (Bologna) Following a €130 million Series A, the company has launched its Series B round. 💻 About the role In this role, you will work closely with the Benchmark Team Leader and the R&D System & Software teams to test, analyse and optimise benchmark and application codes used for pre-silicon, simulation and silicon performance analysis of SiPearl processors, while contributing to collaborative and partner projects. 🎯Your missions Analyse and optimise benchmark and application codes to leverage SiPearl processor architectures Design, runn and monitor test scenarios, collect and validate performance results Produce detailed performance analyses and forecasts for pre-silicon, simulation and silicon phases Identify and fix software issues impacting benchmarks and applications Package, document and present benchmark results and improvements internally and externally Contribute to collaborative R&D projects with academic and industrial partners 🔍 What will help you succeed in this role Strong experience in benchmarking and performance analysis in Cloud and/or HPC environments Solid knowledge of programming languages and parallel computing models (C, C++, Fortran, OpenMP, MPI) Good understanding of processor architectures (Aarch64, x86) A rigorous and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret performance data and propose optimisations Strong collaboration and communication skills in an international environment ➕ Experience in the following areas is a plus Pre-silicon, simulation or silicon performance evaluation Benchmark development, validation and packaging Participation in collaborative research or industrial projects Supervision or mentoring of trainees Note: The tasks listed above are not exhaustive.
