Summary of Role:
This role is responsible for independently managing and conducting comprehensive reviews of clients' insurance programs. Working closely with internal team members, carriers, and underwriting partners, this role analyzes current coverage, investigates changes in risk and rate, finds opportunities for improvement, and develops recommendations that support optimal coverage and pricing. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and organized, with an investigative and customer service approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining accurate client information and delivering an exceptional service experience.

This role is ideal for an experienced Account Manager looking to transition from servicing a BOB to supporting the Account Management team on coverage analysis and recommendations.
We offer the flexibility of a hybrid schedule, with minimal days a week (Wednesdays required) in our downtown Chicago office. Working in the office is important for fostering collaboration and career connections. We will consider a remote option for well-qualified candidates with sufficient Personal Lines experience to handle a book with some independence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works proactively to form relationships with carrier contacts.
- Prepare and send the requests for annual reviews to our service team and edit the spreadsheet results as they come in. Prepare the final draft of the annual review document.
- Takes the lead on analyzing insurance programs and carrier source documents for accuracy, changes to coverage and needed program updates. Communicates results directly with the team.
- Creates and maintains client documents in accordance with office procedures. Keep client policy records in the agency management system.
- Use EPIC agency management system, rating system, and carrier websites.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-confident to make sound independent decisions
- Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people and function well both in a team environment and autonomously
- Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous, and professional manner
- Customer-focused to establish and maintain effective relationships
- Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Must be able to read, analyze, and reconcile carrier contracts and documents
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sharp attention to detail, decision-making skills, and problem resolution
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- P&C Insurance License is required upon hire
Education and/or Experience:
- More than 3 years of Personal Lines experience. Must include experience with an insurance brokerage or independent insurance agency
- Demonstrated experience in relevant lines of coverage
- Demonstrated experience with related carriers such as Chubb, PURE, Berkley One, Cincinnati and Progressive
- Fluency with EPIC or similar agency management system
- Associate's Degree (or equivalent) or BA/BS preferred. HS Diploma or equivalent with additional education/training required

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 – $73,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
