Salary: Up to £32,000.00 for Level 2&3 plus performance based bonuses

Paragon Skills, we're looking for an enthusiastic and learner-focused
Personal Tutor - Health & Social Care to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your industry knowledge and teaching experience to coach and support a diverse caseload of learners working towards Health & Social Care qualifications up to
Levels 2 and 3.
You'll combine your occupational expertise with outstanding teaching, coaching and mentoring to create engaging learning experiences that help learners overcome barriers, build confidence and successfully progress through their qualifications.
As a Personal Tutor, you'll manage your own caseload of learners, building strong relationships with both learners and employers. You'll plan and deliver engaging teaching and learning using a range of approaches and digital technologies, while supporting learners through their workplace and off-the-job training. You'll play a key role in ensuring learners are fully prepared for their
End Point Assessment (EPA), with accurate portfolios, appropriate evidence and the confidence they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, motivate and support learners to achieve their Health & Social Care qualifications Level 2 and 3
- Plan and deliver engaging, interactive and inspiring teaching and learning
- Adapt your delivery to meet the different needs of learners and employers
- Manage a caseload of learners, supporting achievement, retention and progression
- Conduct planned learner and employer reviews in line with ESFA and Learner Journey requirements
- Provide constructive, timely and impactful feedback
- Support workplace and off-the-job training using appropriate learning resources and digital technology
- Identify and remove barriers to learning and progression
- Provide information, advice and guidance to help learners make informed decisions about their development
- Ensure learners have completed portfolios and are fully prepared for the EPA Gateway
- Maintain accurate and timely learner documentation and records on our BUD e-portfolio system
- Work collaboratively with Quality colleagues and other Personal Tutors to continuously improve teaching and learning
- Share best practice and contribute to continuous professional development
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people
What you won't be doing in this role:
- Delivering Functional Skills, we have a fantastic Functional Skills and Additional Learning Support Team that does that
- Generating new learners, as our growing BDM teams bring on all the learners we need so you can focus on progressing your learners to success
- Enrolling learners onto their chosen qualification, this is all picked up by our enrollment team
- Delivery Workshops - our Workshop Tutors and Elevate programme delivery amazing content on your behalf!

What qualification and experence we are looking for:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, alongside relevant occupational experience
- Assessor qualification, such as TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent.
- Teaching qualification, such as AET, CET, PTLLS or equivalent would be advantageous
- GCSE Grade A-C in English and Maths, or equivalent
- Current or previous experience working within the Health & Social Care sector
- Experience delivering effective teaching and learning to a diverse range of Health & Social Care learners
- Experience managing a learner caseload and supporting learner recruitment and progression
- A proven ability to engage, motivate and influence learners to achieve
- Experience identifying and removing barriers to progression
- Experience working to targets, deadlines and performance expectations
- Knowledge of Safeguarding and Prevent
- Knowledge of End Point Assessment, Awarding Organisations, Funding Bodies and Ofsted requirements
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power BI
