Petcare DT Finance Transformation Lead

In this role, you will focus on four highly interlinked areas, all related to supporting the Petcare digital transformation through Financial Business Partnering:

Financial Restructuring & Savings Execution: Designing and implementing the new financial execution model while setting up governance to track and secure structural savings.

Divisional Alignment & Integration: Streamlining financial processes and aligning interfaces between the Petcare Hub and Mars Global Services (MGS) to ensure frictionless, end-to-end operational synergy.

Cost Sharing Model Innovation: Designing a future-fit corporate Cost Sharing Model, including a clear transition plan, while objectively evaluating the pros and cons of different structural approaches.

Planning & Portfolio Redesign: Adapt the Annual Planning Cycle (AEP) and co-creating a holistic Portfolio Management framework in close partnership with Strategy & Operations.

What are we looking for?

• An experienced finance leader with >6 years of progressive S&F/Finance experience, ideally with significant exposure to transformation, restructuring, OVH management in a global FMCG or matrix environment
• Professional finance qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CPA) and/or MBA.
• In-depth understanding of corporate financial planning, annual planning cycles, and portfolio management.
• Solid experience in designing cost-sharing, transfer pricing, or cross-charging models.
• Deep understanding of operational risk management and transformation governance.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management and driving collaboration between shared services (MGS) and business divisions.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Design, orchestrate, and execute the financial processes needed to deliver the transformation roadmap. Establish robust tracking systems to monitor structural savings, ensuring full visibility of cost-out initiatives and delivery against the transformation agenda.
• Drive cross-functional and cross-divisional alignment between the Petcare Hub and Mars Global Services (MGS). Map financial interfaces, optimize x-charge touchpoints, and resolve operational bottlenecks to ensure financial workflows run smoothly and transparently.
• Lead the evaluation and creation of a new, future-fit Cost Sharing Model. Author comprehensive pros-and-cons analyses of potential cost-allocation structures, define the step-by-step transition plan, and secure alignment from critical stakeholders across all divisions.
• Analyse, challenge, and re-design the existing Annual Planning Cycle (AEP). Simplify planning timelines, streamline data requirements, and enhance the integration between top-down targets and bottom-up financial commitments.
• Partner closely with Strategy and Operations to build and implement a holistic portfolio management framework. Ensure that resource allocation, operational projects, and strategic investments are prioritized and evaluated against clear financial value-creation metrics.
• Provide critical financial perspective, trade-off scenarios, and decision support to senior leaders. Build trust and lead change management efforts to embed the new financial execution model and mindset across the GBU Petcare ecosystem.
