Join Us in Making a Difference at Marie Curie We’re looking for a passionate and relationship-led Philanthropy Manager to join our ambitious Philanthropy Team. This role sits in a key strategic area for Marie Curie, with investment and commitment to grow our Philanthropy programme. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves being externally focused, building meaningful relationships and staying closely connected to the cause. In this role, you’ll focus on high-value donor relationships, typically between £10,000 and £50,000 , with opportunities to support larger six-figure gifts. You’ll identify, cultivate and steward major donors, working closely with senior volunteers, colleagues and teams across the charity to create strong, long-term supporter relationships What you’ll be doing Managing and growing a portfolio of major donors and prospects. Building strong, long-term relationships to increase supporter engagement and income. Creating compelling donor proposals, presentations and funding requests. Leading donor meetings and supporting high-quality fundraising events. Working with senior volunteers, internal stakeholders and colleagues to maximise fundraising opportunities. Using CRM systems to track donor activity, pipeline, income forecasts and performance. What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone with strong relationship-building skills and experience managing donor or supporter relationships. You’ll be confident working with a range of stakeholders, writing compelling proposals and working towards ambitious targets. You’ll bring: Experience developing and maintaining effective donor relationships. Strong communication, networking and stakeholder management skills. The ability to write high-quality proposals and funding materials. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage detail. An understanding of philanthropy and donor motivations. A willingness to travel across the UK to meet donors, prospects and colleagues. This is a hybrid role, and if based in London, you'll be expected to work from the office at least two days per week .
