Recognizing donors is a powerful engagement tool. You’ll work within Philanthropy Operations on the Donor Recognition and Stewardship team to oversee the
delivery of the Gratitude Award Program which highlights acts of kindness, compassionate care and innovation and allows donors to make a gift in
honour of staff members or teams at the hospital who positively impacted them.

POSITION SNAPSHOT
Position Type: Full-Time Contract until August 2027 (Maternity Leave Coverage) (37.5 hours per week)

Annual salary: The salary range for this position is $43,333-$62,767 with a current hiring range of $43,333-$51,250.
Experience: All candidates with relevant experience in administration and project coordination are encouraged to apply. Post-secondary diploma, degree or certification from a college, polytechnic, university or equivalent in the following is considered an asset: project management and/or fundraising management.
Location: Hybrid options available, with onsite work conducted in Ottawa, Ontario. There is a standing requirement of once a week on Fridays at our storefront at Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre (3045 Baseline Road). The successful candidate would need to also work out of the Civic Campus (1053 Carling Avenue) and General Campuses (501 Symth Road) on an ad hoc basis.
Transportation: A driver’s license/private vehicle is an asset but not required.
Language: English essential, French is considered an asset.

What Would My Job Look Like?
Reporting to the Manager, Donor Recognition and Stewardship, you will:
- Coordinate and support the Gratitude Award Program (GAP) through various activities along with and ongoing program enhancement.
- Collaborate regularly with the Foundation Marketing team and hospital partners to promote the Gratitude Award Program and increase revenue.
- Provide administrative and project support to the Donor Recognition & Stewardship team
- Assist and support with donor engagement activities and initiatives.
- Rotate in-person reception coverage of our front-facing General Campus (501 Smyth Road), and/or Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre (3045 Baseline Road) offices. This particular position will cover the Friday shift at the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre (3045 Baseline Road).
- Support donor recognition and stewardship programs, including various administrative and data entry tasks
- Support annual donor recognition processes, including Leadership Registry updates, donor wall and digital wall recognition, donor consent tracking, and coordination with Finance and Marketing teams
- Deliver the Gratitude Award Program bootcamp as part of Foundation staff onboarding
- Serve as a backup resource for Gift-in-Kind administration, VP Philanthropy Operations calendar management and other departmental activities related to recognition and stewardship
- Other duties as required
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities and time-sensitive deliverables
- Superior attention to detail, and ability to follow-through with assigned tasks.
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Experience in a front-facing customer service role
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite are required. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge and Wrike is considered an asset.
- Project management skills are an asset
- Knowledge of The Ottawa Hospital and The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute is considered an asset
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset
Operational requirements:
- Willingness and ability to work outside of regular business hours when needed
