The role

We're looking for a strategic and analytical professional to join our Operational Planning and Performance team as a Planning and Performance Analyst.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct research, data analysis and modelling to support strategic planning and service improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse operational performance, customer trends, industry developments and emerging risks to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop evidence-based recommendations to support operational decision-making and prioritisation.
  • Map and improve business processes to enhance efficiency, consistency and customer outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, document current and future state processes, and build stakeholder alignment.
  • Translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements for digital and technology solutions.
  • Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Support operational transformation projects from planning through to implementation and benefits realisation.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Service Delivery, Business Technology Services and other business areas to deliver practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Support change management activities including stakeholder engagement, communications, training and adoption planning.

Who are you?

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert complex information into actionable insights.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and facilitating stakeholder workshops.
  • Demonstrated process mapping and business improvement capability.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence outcomes across diverse groups.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
  • Experience supporting business cases, operational improvement initiatives or transformation programs.
  • Experience within the utilities sector, particularly water utilities (desirable).
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance environments (desirable).
  • Experience in operations, maintenance, strategy, innovation or emerging technologies (desirable).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent operational experience (desirable).

A competitive salary range of between $119,221 to $125,993 + super is on offer and offers are commensurate with the successful candidate's skills and experience.
