Planning & Logistics Manager

Job Purpose:

The Plant Planning & Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective planning, scheduling, and internal flow of materials required to support plant operations. The role leads production planning, raw material warehouse, and picking activities to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient production execution while driving continuous improvement, operational performance, and team development.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience managing warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics; Proven experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), ERP (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), and TMS (Transportation Management Systems)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the plant's production planning and scheduling process to ensure on-time delivery, optimal capacity utilization, and efficient workflow across all manufacturing areas.
  • Create and maintain master production schedules aligned with customer demand, plant capacity, labor availability, inventory targets, and business priorities.
  • Manage all internal logistics operations, including raw material warehousing, material handling, inventory replenishment, kitting, and line-side delivery processes.
  • Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production through effective inventory control, stock monitoring, and coordination with the Purchasing department.
  • Establish and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting processes, material transaction discipline, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Optimize material flow, warehouse layout, storage strategies, and replenishment systems to support productivity, space utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including schedule adherence, production plan attainment, material availability, inventory accuracy, picking accuracy, warehouse productivity, and inventory turns.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning effectiveness, inventory reduction, lead time improvement, material flow optimization, and cost reduction.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members through performance management, training, succession planning, and continuous skills development.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to Plant Leadership on forecast accuracy, production performance, inventory health, material shortages, operational risks, and improvement opportunities
