  • Establish procedures for safe storage, handling, application, and disposal of agricultural chemicals.
  • Manage pruning, thinning, weed control, mulching, ground maintenance, and other crop-care activities as applicable.
  • Coordinate harvesting operations to achieve optimum yield, quality, timing, and market requirements.
  • Minimize crop losses, harvesting damage, waste, and post-harvest deterioration.
  • Manage plantation roads, drainage systems, irrigation infrastructure, storage facilities, workshops, and field facilities.
  • Coordinate machinery, tractors, harvesting equipment, vehicles, and agricultural tools.
  • Establish preventive-maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and availability.
  • Manage plantation employees, field supervisors, operators, seasonal workers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Prepare workforce plans, schedules, productivity targets, training programs, and performance standards.
  • Ensure employees follow agricultural safety, equipment, chemical-handling, and operational procedures.
  • Manage plantation budgets, operating expenses, labor costs, input costs, maintenance costs, and capital requirements.
  • Forecast requirements for seeds, seedlings, fertilizer, crop-protection products, fuel, equipment, spare parts, and other inputs.
  • Manage procurement and evaluate supplier quality, pricing, reliability, and service performance.
  • Maintain accurate field records, planting records, crop-treatment records, harvest data, input usage, and production statistics.
  • Use agricultural management systems, GIS, satellite imagery, drones, sensors, and precision-agriculture technologies where appropriate.
  • Analyze plantation data to identify productivity gaps, resource inefficiencies, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor weather conditions and develop contingency plans for drought, flooding, storms, fire, pest outbreaks, and other risks.
  • Implement fire-prevention, emergency-response, and disaster-recovery procedures.
  • Maintain strong environmental controls covering soil conservation, water protection, biodiversity, waste management, and chemical use.
  • Support replanting, restoration, conservation, and long-term land-management programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable agricultural, environmental, labor, safety, food-safety, and plantation-management requirements.
  • Maintain required permits, licenses, certifications, inspection records, and operational documentation.
  • Coordinate with agronomists, agricultural specialists, laboratories, government authorities, suppliers, customers, and local stakeholders.
