Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate secure and scalable cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role combines hands-on software engineering with cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and platform engineering.

Contract Duration - 12 months + extensions

Mode of work - Remote in EU and UK

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable GCP platform services and infrastructure.
• Develop platform services and APIs using Python & FastAPI.
• Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL environments and integrations.
• Drive platform automation, reliability, observability, and security.
• Improve developer experience and self-service platform capabilities.
• Support GCP networking, IAM, connectivity, and governance.

Key Requirements

• Strong GCP platform/cloud engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Python development and FastAPI experience.
• Strong PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning.
• Advanced Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Hands-on GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.
• Experience with BigQuery, IAM, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Dataplex.
• Strong DevOps/SRE and cloud architecture fundamentals.
• Experience building secure, scalable, production-grade platforms.
