Platform Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to support a major cloud transformation programme for a leading FinTech organisation.

You’ll be responsible for building and evolving secure, scalable cloud platforms that enable engineering teams to deploy and operate applications efficiently. You’ll work across infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation and developer tooling, ensuring platforms are reliable, production-ready and aligned with the requirements of a highly regulated financial environment.

Key experience:

• Strong hands-on experience as a Platform Engineer / Cloud Engineer

• Proven experience building and supporting internal developer platforms

• Strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience

• Building and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform / IaC

• GKE / Kubernetes and containerised workloads

• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

• Platform automation using tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar

• GCP networking – VPCs, load balancing, DNS, connectivity and firewalls

• IAM, security and access controls

• Monitoring, logging and observability

• Experience implementing self-service capabilities and developer tooling

• Strong understanding of cloud security, resilience and high availability

• Experience supporting production platforms at scale

• Ability to work closely with software engineering and DevOps teams

Experience working within FinTech, banking or other regulated financial services environments would be highly desirable.
