ABOUT THE BUSINESS

You would be permanently employed by an established global software consultancy with offices across the UK, Canada and Poland.

They are ISO27001 certified and deliver technology programmes across sectors including financial services, healthcare and utilities.

Their model is different from traditional outsourcing. Their engineers are employed permanently by the consultancy and embedded directly into client engineering teams, working alongside them on complex technical programmes.

This gives you the variety and exposure of consultancy work while retaining the stability and benefits of permanent employment.

The programme you would join is with one of the world's largest publicly listed investment management firms, managing assets across quantitative and discretionary investment strategies.

Technology is central to how the organisation operates, creating a highly technical engineering environment where reliability, performance and quality matter.

THE ROLE

They are looking for Platform / Migration Engineers to join a major new client programme, with up to three positions available.

This isn't a traditional DevOps position.

The focus is specifically on platform and migration engineering, particularly moving Kubernetes clusters, containers and production workloads between different platforms and operating environments.

You'll be working directly alongside the client's engineering teams and taking ownership of technically complex migration work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and deliver Kubernetes cluster migrations
• Migrate containers and production workloads between environments
• Move applications between operating systems and platforms
• Support migration planning, execution and cutover
• Develop scripts and automation to make migrations repeatable and reliable
• Troubleshoot technical issues throughout migration projects
• Contribute across broader platform engineering initiatives
• Work directly with client engineering teams and technical stakeholders

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Strong commercial Kubernetes experience
• Hands-on Kubernetes cluster migration experience
• Container and workload migrations
• Experience moving applications between platforms, environments or operating systems
• Strong scripting and automation skills
• Broader Platform Engineering experience
• Strong spoken English
• Comfortable working directly with client engineering teams
• Existing right to work in Poland, with no sponsorship required
• Based within reach of Warsaw or Wroclaw

DESIRABLE, NOT ESSENTIAL

• Financial services experience
• Investment banking or investment management environments
• Experience within regulated organisations
• Low-latency or high-availability environments
• Cloud and containerised infrastructure experience
