Platform Engineering Lead (Veeva Vault)

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Platform Engineering Lead to drive reusable integration patterns and support Veeva Vault platform configuration within a complex enterprise environment. The role combines hands-on integration architecture, platform governance, and close collaboration with business and technical teams.

You will translate business needs into practical technical solutions, establish standards adopted across multiple teams, and support reliable integration between SaaS platforms and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and promote standard integration patterns, API practices, and reusable approaches across multiple teams.
  

• Design integrations connecting SaaS platforms with enterprise systems, covering identity, data flows, and downstream consumers.
  

• Address API governance and reliability considerations throughout integration design and implementation.
  

• Work directly with business divisions to understand their needs and translate them into technical integration requirements and efficient implementation approaches.
  

• Support basic Veeva Vault configuration activities, including objects, lifecycles, workflows, layouts, and access controls.
  

• Troubleshoot Vault access and security-related issues.
  

• Support configuration migration, comparison, and reporting using Vault administration and migration tools.
  

• Apply Vault application governance and configuration best practices.
  

• Coordinate stakeholders across business and technology teams in a fast-paced matrix environment.
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall experience in IT or engineering, including 3+ years of hands-on integration or solution architecture experience covering APIs, integration patterns, and data flows.
  

• Demonstrated ability to define standard patterns and drive adoption across multiple teams, with a focus on reusable platform capabilities.
  

• Experience integrating SaaS platforms with enterprise systems, including identity integration, data exchange, API governance, and reliability.
  

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical integration requirements and pragmatic implementation approaches.
  

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  

• A growth mindset, flexibility, strong ownership, and confidence working through ambiguity.
  

Veeva Vault Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of core Vault platform building blocks:
  

  • Objects and Object Types
    

  • Lifecycles and Workflows
    

  • Page Layouts
    

  • Security Profiles, Sharing Rules, and Roles
    

  • Document Types and Binders, where applicable
    

• Basic understanding of the end-to-end configuration of at least one Veeva Vault application, such as Clinical, RIM, QualityDocs/QMS, Safety, or Medical.
  

• Working knowledge of the Vault Admin Console, Vault Loader, Migration Packages, and configuration comparison and reporting capabilities.
  

• Ability to support basic configuration, troubleshoot access and security issues, and follow Vault governance and best practices.
