What you will do:
As our SAP Platform Manager, you are responsible for leading the strategy, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of Stryker’s SAP technical platform. You will manage the SAP platform roadmap, standards, upgrade strategy, vendor engagement, and technical governance needed to support enterprise business capabilities and digital transformation initiatives.
Additionally, you will partner with business process owners, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, SAP functional teams, managed service providers, and external vendors to ensure SAP platform services are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business priorities.
This is a hybrid role and as such we define hybrid as the ability to go into the office at least one day per week.
Develop, maintain, and communicate the SAP technical platform roadmap, including standards, lifecycle planning, upgrade paths, architecture principles, and technology adoption priorities.
Lead planning and execution oversight for SAP technical initiatives, integrations, upgrades, migrations, patching, and system decommissioning.
Partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, application, and business teams to align SAP platform capabilities with business, security, compliance, and technology requirements.
Evaluate emerging SAP technologies and recommend adoption, modernization, automation, and simplification opportunities that improve platform effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Lead vendor, managed service provider, and consulting partner engagement, including scope definition, delivery oversight, issue escalation, performance management, and alignment to Stryker delivery expectations.
Provide cost, sizing, effort estimation, and technical input for project landscapes, business cases, roadmap planning, and investment decisions.
Drive process standardization, governance, documentation, and continuous improvement across platform engineering, environment management, and release planning.
Communicate platform strategy, risks, dependencies, decisions, and recommendations to IT leadership, business stakeholders, project teams, and external partners.
Lead, coach, and develop team members or partner resources, setting clear expectations, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What you need:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree required.
8+ years of information technology experience.
7+ years of SAP technical platform, SAP Basis, or SAP infrastructure experience.
Prior experience supporting at least two SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC implementations, migrations, upgrades, or major technical release events.
3+ years of experience managing SAP environments supporting more than 1,000 users.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience leading SAP Basis administration or SAP platform operations in a production support model.
SAP technology certification, SAP S/4HANA certification, SAP Business Technology Platform certification, or cloud certification preferred.
SAP Certified Technology Associate, SAP Certified Technology Professional, SAP S/4HANA certification, or equivalent SAP technical certification.
Experience with SAP high availability, disaster recovery architecture, and recovery testing.
Experience with SAP system sizing, landscape estimation, and technical capacity planning.
Knowledge of data center operations, cloud infrastructure, network concepts, and enterprise monitoring practices.
Experience supporting regulated, global, or highly complex enterprise environments.
Experience presenting status, risks, decisions, and recommendations to director-level stakeholders or above.
Demonstrated experience in at least five of the following areas: SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP PI/PO, SAP Basis administration, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Landscape Management, SAP high availability architecture, SAP integration technologies, SAP upgrades, SAP migrations, SAP Cloud ALM, or RISE with SAP.

- US5: $123,900 - $206,500 USD Annual
- US10: $129,800 - $216,400 USD Annual
- US15: $135,700 - $226,200 USD Annual
- US20: $141,600 - $236,000 USD Annual
- US30: $153,400 - $255,700 USD Annual

Work Flexibility
- Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location.
- Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based.
- Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.
- Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
